Remarks

I opted B.Tech from this academy. I felt nice my entire graduation tenure. Since the institute is located at a distance from Chandigarh, therefore, I felt quiet peaceful in my campus. The faculty, the infrastructure and the management were awesome thus delivering a solid B.tech time.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course was divided into 8 semesters and I appeared for the exam after finishing every semester. Results got declared after two months. And if someone came out unsuccessful they got the chance of reappearing for the same. The additional industrial training which was compulsory was great. Furthermore, there were workshops that I attended at the end of the second sem which was again great.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement cell of my institute was good. However one needs to work hard to get placed in some notable corporates in the nation. Also, Tech Mahindra and Infosys are some of the prominent organization that hosts placement program each year. I happen to get a job in Tech Mahindra and doing great here.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I paid like 40K for each of the semesters. And the total lump sum amounted to 3 lakh which I personally felt was absolutely feasible. I received significant quality education there, Therefore each penny I spent there was not a waste in fact it was totally worth it.

Fees and Financial Aid

One of my friends opted for a student loan. However, there was no scholarship program. But one of my friend who got into the college via counselling received around 7500/- as a scholarship. It was available after 4th semester

Campus Life

Well, my college loved organizing events, such as sports, freshers party, then there were annual days. This occasions brought an exciting change thus making each of the member happy. The sports events took around 3 days to completely wrap up and those were actually good old days

Admission

My hard works landed me in this college. I worked hard and secured a robust rank in JEE. It was 52nd. The faculty along with infrastructure were the primary reasons to opt for this institute. I loved everything about my college.

Faculty

4.5

I loved my time in my classroom. B.tech is genuinely complicated, however, when you get the mentorship of some of the qualified professors you naturally stay focus and learn everything quiet well. They loved offering their support in other activities such as cultural or sports events.

The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Chandigarh University - [CU], Bachelor of Pharmacy [B.Pharm]
Reviewed on Sep 6, 2024(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i have opted the course B.Pharmacy! I rate the course as optimal, neither too bad nor too good, its medium! Now comes on teaching method, some teachers are really well and good and few are those who does not teaches but only writing writing, thats it, they will not explain at all! And one thing they should change is that All Courses except B.Pharmacy in Chandigarh University have the criteria to pass the student even below the 40% only or the half of the highest number scored by the topper in the class, and for Bpharmacy its minimum requirement to pass the exam is 50%, Oh My God! This needs to be changed, Now every year, in Bpharmacy, the overall 80% students are getting Compartments (Back/Fail) in the subjects, but the University is not understanding it all. So this should be changed as earlier!

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
