Word of mouth popularity by friends and relatives. Opinion of parents were inclined towards this college due to its credibility as a strict institution with good standards of education and placement. Moreover this was one of the best colleges available based on my cut-off mark. I chose this stream of Electrical and Electronics Engineering because it was my favourite topics in class 12th.

The syllabus is set by Anna University and is a standard curriculum. We had one industrial visit per year which provided industrial exposure. Companies starting visiting our college for internships and placements by the third year which was also useful to get some industrial exposure early on. The faculty in our department were really hardworking, friendly and good.

I was selected for summer internship in Zoho and was offered a stipend of 15K per month. This was a software programming internship to which we were selected based on a competitive programming test conducted in our college.

The placement cell is very active and conducts placements training starting from the second year. This helps in getting a early start. Companies start coming in for internship by third year and placements start by end of third year and are conducted for the entire fourth year. Aluminis are often called back to motivate students in the current batch and that helps get a more practical and realistic view of the life after college for someone who has been to the same college.

The odd semesters are more relaxed with exams spaced at greater intervals but do not have much extra curricular activities. The even semesters are crammed with exams and lot of activities like cultural sport and extra curricular events, technical symposiums, etc. The women's day is also a big event but restricted to girls.

Government sponsored scholarships were also extended to students from economically weaker families. Scholarships were also given based on merit in the semester examinations. The amount offered in this varied according to the mark scored with the entire tuition being waived off above a range.

Despite being a relatively new institution since the management have multiple colleges, the facilities in our college were good. Library was of medium size but quite adequate for a college of our size. Sports involvement is based completely on own interest and the regular system of exams means only those with lot of interest would participate. The labs in our department had proper equipment and apparatus.
