Remarks

Good college and has the potential tondo much more. Great subjects and overall experience was very good.

Course Curriculum Overview

It has 8 total semester for 4yr course. The first year is common for all branches. From 2nd year there is huge practicals and basic engineering sciences. From 3rd year onwards it's more deep diving into core specialization. The courses are research driven and huge emphasis is given on industrial projects where students need to execute innovative real time projects. Also learnt soft skills while doing multiple presentations, data driven analytical mindset was the key focus. Theoretical knowledge was also given high importance before jumping into the industry projects.

Placement Experience

3

The placement in my batch was average. It was higher than my previous year but the quality of campus visits were not upto mark. 15+ companies including TCS, Cairn India, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, Oil India LTD, ONGC were some notable ones. The top tier got massive offers of 8Lpa+. PSU were the strongest offers across branches. Internships were not provided by college. They only arranges industry visits.

College Events

4.5

We had 2 major events, one was the Varsity week in March yearly. The second was the college fest Auxesis every year in Sept. The varsity week was a week full of sports, cultural events, workshops, lectures and innovative webinars. Sports like cricket, football, hockey, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, kabaddi were organised. Robotics workshop, drag races fun events and ended with cultural night. The department with highest trophies was declared winner. Auxesis was very high octane event where the student community itself did the budgeting to organising. There were rock shows, industrial guests visits, fun events, culture dance and many more.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was fixed for every semester. It was 60:40 ratio for every even and odd semesters per year. Also college provided loan facilities and financial assistance for students. Also there was a quota system and the backward communities got a discount of 10% for all semester fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I didn't opt for any education loan or scholarship. I paid half yearly semester fees directly to the institution.

Campus Life

Campus life was very good. There were a lot of options to do extracurricular activities. Since it was a university with multiple departments, we got to interact with a lot of different students and faculty members. Every month there were some events related to debates or workshops, industry visits, CEO talks, forums on policies. Also there was a wide range of options in sports. There is a dedicated indoor stadium with trainers and coaches. Few students have gone to play at national level as well.

Hostel Facilities

Yes sharing with 1 more person. The hostel fee was 4000 per month including food. Accommodation was decent, with 2 separate beds, 2 table chair sets for study. Common bathroom was good. Food was not up to mark, mostly comprised of 1 vegetable, Dal, rice or roti and salad. 2 times a week and weekend we had non veg options. Breakfast was not provided though.

Alumni/Alumna

Students were very competitive. Average student scored 6.5 CGPA pass marks. All round batch with some great talents. The top 2 branches, Petro and Mechanical was specifically designed for high performance. Alumni was not very old but was relevant with some real time industry experience.

Admission

Candidates have to pass the State Engineering Entrance examination and a cut off marks is decided based upon highest marks of the students. Also a minimum requirement of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Maths is compulsory for getting admitted. Once I got a scorecard, I got letter to be present for counseling as my marks was amongst Top 10%. Also the top 20-40 students out of the batch of 360 got to choose the desired branch.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is knowledgeable, supportive and have the go to market experience that helped me to understand the overall industry in and build my subject expertise. In the final year, my dedicated project was guided by my faculty and it helped me understand the theories a lot better. They always thrive to push the students ahead and make sure we keep very up-to-date as well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course i.e. department of Botany because the department ensuring a strong theoretical foundations along with the practical experience. The course prepares well for students as the acedemic results is always good which will make gratutides well equipped for jobs. Some sections of the course should be updated to meet the latest technology, more guests lectures and the interships should be provided to the students. The exams clustering of multiple exams should be within times which relases unneccsary stress, the exams are conducted easy to insane which is very challenging for the students.
