VIT Bhopal, B.Tech, Computer Science and Engineering

Remarks

I selected this college because of its better placement records. Placement cell is proactive and they train each and every one of us with a great experience and they fill each and every student with enthusiasm to seek the best job with there dream package. As the university is opened in 2017 and its a new institution so its first batch of Engineering will be placed in 2021. An average package of 6 lakhs.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The best thing I like about VIT BHOPAL is a presence of 100% doctoral faculty members. It gives immense pleasure to learn as compared to other universities. CALTECH is the best technology to bring up their interest in a more effective way. Tutorials are held regularly to give student visualizes. Courses have been designed for students in such an effective manner.

Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Placement Experience

4.5

Many companies visited the campus for placements so far. Students are provided with soft skills. University connects with top national and multinational companies to provide better job opportunities to students. VIT Bhopal has started with the internship programs from reputed companies. The college put a lot of efforts for students to have exposure in the real world, and they are also conducting regular guest lectures by people from the industry.

College Events

4.5

Technical workshops are specially designed for keeping the interest of students in mind. Dance workshop and music workshops are fun. These workshops give real exposure in this highly competitive environment. Advitya is the best platform to showcase your talent. Adding on, we have industrial visits too. One of the college which provides the flagship course of hr. The course starts with the basics of hr mainly covered in Ability enhancement system, Motivation enhancement system and opportunity enhancement system. Exams consists of quizzes, presentation and written examination.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

As it is newly built campus, labs and studios are the most attractive part of the campus. English studio has been designed in such a manner that it gives a platform to build up confidence. Moreover, it creates connectivity and pulls out their hidden talents. Math studio, computer studios, electrical studios give practical view apart from only learning.

Dislikes

Small campus no own sports ground for football and cricket we have to share it with other campus

Placement Experience:

Our College works very hard for placement like they initiate new programmes every year for the betterment of the batch so that they can improve their placement every year. They have launched launched D 99 batch P 30 batch arrange so many seminars College to corporate training placement, training company visits and everything the placement is our college works very hard for the students to get them placed anyhow with a very good package.

Average college with no placements and exposure

Likes

I like infrastructure of the campus... infrastructure are very beautiful.
Library. I like library facilities college provide and we can take book from there.
Canteen not..much but I likes this average

Dislikes

Placement their is no placement or limit placement only 2-3LPA
Bus Facility their Very poor bus facilities
Labs their labs computer are not working properly

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the curriculum around 5 or 6 out of 10. i chose this course mainly because of the computer and coding subjects. the syllabus is mostly theory based and many topics are not very useful for current industry needs. practical classes and real projects are also limited. more coding, projects and updated technologies should be added. exams are frequent during the semester and the difficulty is mostly average but sometimes checking feels strict.

My life in Oriental university

Likes

I liked the overall campus environment of the university . The campus is quite large ,clean and has good infrastructure.
The labs in college in are well equipped especially for computer science student . some system have configuration like 16 gb ram .
the faculty member are supportive and helpful. teachers are always ready to guide student , clear doubts and personal situation whenever needed

Dislikes

the quality of mess food is average and sometimes not up to expections. There are limited option and some food combination not liked by students
There are single water cooler in available , which sometimes create problem for both boys and girls.
we are sometimes fined for low attendance ,bunking class or even sitting in the canteen during lecture hours

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course is decent but not exceptionsal. it covers the basic and important subject required for the course so you dont get a good theoritical understanding. However some parts of the syllabus feel outdated and fully aligned with current industry requirments. the course had a good mix of course subjects and some practical components on paper which looked promising at the time of admission. The overall structure seemed relevent for building foundational knowledge.
