Remarks

The college management was the thing which was really praiseworthy right from conducting examinations, events, and the process of admission every thing was so well managed and disciplined.

Entrance Preview

I took AIEEE, and my score was around 70000 i was very depressed with my score as i had a good academic background both my 10 and 12th percentages were above 90 i took the course of ECE here at LPU over others i.e. Sharda, Amity because of the scholarship this college was providing. At that time during 2010 when i took admission, there were counseling centers in different cities. I went to Kolkata and had my interview there. It was a normal interview just to know you more.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The overall course was good. I wud rate it 3.5 out of 5. The only lag in the curriculum was the lack of experienced faculty in the department. There were a few but that was not enough to accommodate the strength of student it has. For the communication department, there were elective courses like Mobile communications, Wireless Communications which were delivered by faculties not more that 2-2.5 yrs of experience or even freshers.

Internships Opportunities

Yes my college provided the internships but the the criteria was a bit complex. You have to search it by your own, and there were certain criteria defined by university which has to be met in order to give permission for the internship. Most of the students end up doing the Capstone Project in the college only including me. As i did not do the internship i am not aware of the stipend and experience, so cant give the exact figures.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements were surprisingly very good as compared to the previous batches for our batch, Day 1 kick-started with Cognizant recruiting 335 students with a CTC of 3.02 lpa followed by Ericsson-2.8lpa, HCL-2.8lpa, Ceasefire 1.5lpa, and several other companies the campus also conducted several offcampus drive which it actively involved its students to take part into.

College Events

4.5

If i continue to list down the events celebrated by the college, it will take the a whole day just to brief it there are so many events as technical events are concerned Gyam Manthan later renamed as Youth Vibe is conducted as a National Tech Fest. Several colleges in and around North india take part in this fest as far as Cultural fests are concerned One India, One World are celebrated.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very feasible there are different scholarships avaiable to aid the students based on merit, sports quota etc. To expand my point lets take the example of merit based scholarship. It is based on the percentage you score and the Board you passed. If the full fees was 69500 per sem. The highest scholarship was given as 50000 per sem. So if you score 90% or above you will be getting a scholarship of 50000 and you have to pay onle 19500 per sem.

Fees and Financial Aid

The full fees was 69500 per sem the highest scholarship was given as 50000 per sem so if you score 90% or above you will be getting a scholarship of 50000 and you have to pay onle 19500 per sem.

Campus Life

4.5

One of the most amazing thing about LPU is the campus life it offer undoubtedly the best life anyone can get during the college days the gender ratio was fair enough, and the diversity-students from 28 states of india and 25 countries fromn the world are th part of LPU. There were different events conducted namely annual sports meet, tech fests, cultural fests which were can be rated as one of the best any college can organize.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostels were the best part of LPU. It was comparatively cheap what other premier private colleges were charging it costed around 60000 per year including food foe a 4 seater. The mess food was decent enough there were different option available to choose from 1/2/3/4 seater. The prive was proportional to the seater you opted for there were different kiosks in front of hostels if you are not willing to opt of the hostel food, you can always have wide range of options fron the kiosks.

Alumni/Alumna

There is a designated portal for the alumni where updates from the college events are shared and vice versa. It constantly updates us if any placement related drives are being conducted by the college.

Exam Structure

It was a semester based exam structure there were 8 semester altogether in 4 years And each semster was divided into a MID term and End term mid term consisting of 50 marks and end term consisting of 100 marks apart from these two, there were 3 Class test which also add up to the cumulative score.

Faculty

3.5

There was a lack of experienced faculty in the department there were a few but that was not enough to accommodate the strength of student it has if you are keen to know the number of PhD qualified faculties you would end up in a single count. The standard of the teaching depends upon the experience so i would rate it as 3 out of 5. In the subsequent years there were putting their efforts to recruit more skilled faculties.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
