Remarks

I opted for this college because this is only college in Eastern India which provides International Diploma programme from International Air Transport Association (IATA), Canada along with International Global Distribution System (GDS) training program by Amadeus which is actually an advantage for students as it will provide them a clear picture of the industry where they will be placed in future.

Course Curriculum Overview

Bachelor's in Travel and Tourism is one of the most important course that one has to opt for, if students want to be in Travel and Tourism Industry. During the time of admission, students will be provided a brief about the curriculum as well as industry and moreover they will be introduced with the faculties who's incharge of all the subject so that students will have an idea about the Course. Students will have to go through subjects like Tourism Products, Marketing in Travel and Tourism, Airfares, Geography as well as will be provided a clear picture of tourism destination. Moreover, once the period of 3yrs has been completed, they will be provided training for 1 years cum placement with good companies so that once, they are over with the course, students are free to join the company if they want or else seperate placement will be arranged for them.

College organise Cultural events and competitions during the World Tourism Day celebration and a get together with industry experts so that they have an idea of what's happening in the Industry. They organise several weekend trip as part of curriculum which helps students to know the industry in a better way. Department celebrates "World Tourism Day" "World Heritage Day" for more than a week where they organise several competitions like Travel Quiz, Debates on Tourism Industry, Paintings and several other competition to encourage student to perform and interact with seniors, industry experts and faculties.

Likes

The IIT brand value.Great placements and internship opportunities
Competitive peers and lots of ongoing.Great environment
Lush green campus, lots to explore and great infrastructure

Dislikes

Rigorous academics, hectic exam schedules
Hostel infrastructure is quite old and mess food quality is just acceptable.
Professors teaching style can be quite boring as well

Placement Experience:

Placement statistics of IIT Kharagpur is excellent with multiple offers made across software, quant, consulting , analytics and core domain.Major companies like Google, Microsoft, Optiver, Visa,Mastercard visit the campus each year for recruitment.Highest packages are offered by quant companies and can go upto 2 - 2.5 crore per annum

Good Internship Opportunities

Helpful Faculties, the faculties over here helped us through out the course
Good clean and green campus with water supply at different places in the campus
Structured syllabus for industrial readiness in the curriculum

Dislikes

Nothing such I have disliked, but some classrooms projector did not functioned properly
Some time the guards unnecessarily behaved rude which I hated the most

Placement Experience:

The placement cell provides us with training programs and internships and also if the students are careful and disciplined in the classroms they can crack through job interviews. There is mock viva at the end semester and also some on campus hiring companies came in our college.

Likes

Campus is nice. There's greenery and all
SOME of the faculties are really good and those said teachers will actually look out for you and care
Mentors are appointed for each students who are responsible for their final year project, publications and LORs. If you are lucky, you'll get a good mentor.

Dislikes

Classrooms are less compared to the number of students. Students have to wander around the building after each classes to find seats. Classrooms are very dirty
There's literally NOTHING in the labs. Experiments take way long to prepare and perform because reagents and equipments are never available.
Hardly a 2 week summer break (because of MAKAUT). Students cannot even apply to good internships because no lab would take in external students in july or august.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

mostly from end of third year students start getting campus placements and companies like TCS AND WIPRO HIRE MAJORITY of the students. The average package is 450000 and highest package every year goes upto 9-12 lakhs per annum. I want to go into core Electronics domain for which I am preparing for masters as no core electronics companies come in this college

GOOD College at low fees.

Likes

The campus is very big of the college which is about 50 acres and very greenly campus
The events and clubs with sports held in campus is very good and very happening
The placement opportunities in this college is very good and the faculties are very supportive

Dislikes

The infrastructure is bit old and renovates it bit very late which impact in bit difficulty
The senior are very supportive but at the same time they are very strict regarding the discipline which they call it ragging
The location of the college is bit outside of the main city so you can find it bit difficulty in your starting days of living here

Placement Experience:

Placement of my college are quite good with a avg package of 6 to 7 lpa and higest package of 45 lpa and this year the higest package is 75 lpa. The companies visited in my college are infosys, Capgemini,tcs,wipro, Mindtree,IBM, sometimes amazon also.The placement rate of the college is 85 to 95%.

Faculties are well trained and knowledgious
Boys girls ratio is 2:1. This college gives highest safety to girls
The campus offers number of games like badminton court, table tennis court and a large ground for cricket

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not very much good.
Other games like basketball court is brooen
The library is not having ac which creates a problem in summer

Course Curriculum Overview:

The exam is very difficult. Literally you can't copy a single answer and can't carry cheat in examination but this is applicable only for final examination. Well, you can cheat in semester examination . Improvement in teaching method - mic of the lecture theatre not work properly and too much echo

My experience was very interesting while pursuing my graduation in The Neotia University

Likes

The skill Development programs which we used to have ik every sem
The culture of the college, relationship with the faculties
Different cultural events, social events

Dislikes

Infrastructure was really bad, we did not have enough practical classes as promised
Library facility was also not good, not enough books for all students
I just got a placement with a CTC of 36k per anum. It was ridiculous to get a job with 3k salary after spending almost 3 lakhs. Also we had to pay separately for internships and all India tour which was included in the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The exam pattern was good. Moderate paper was there. Examiner had done a great job. For the curriculum we always had to pay extra money. In our 7th sem, we had all India tour, we did have any practical classes or theory exam still we had to pay for the practical and library not only that we had to pay for the trip as well.

Reasons to not apply for NSHM Knowledge Campus

Likes

The admission process was very smooth, the administration board is very helpful.
The library is huge and the content of books is very good
College life and fests are good but not great

Dislikes

Placements are absolutely bogus. There were almost no good placements when i passed out part of it can be blamed on covid but mostly the college was largely at fault
Faculty was not upto the mark in regards to the hefty college fees we were charged
Even during covid online classes we were charged full fee which is again absolutely horrendous

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

First of all the placements are good. The teachers are awesome. The environment is sweet and any one can stay here very comfortably. Maximum students are very talented, hardworking and intelligent, everyone has a big aim in life.
The functions of the college at any event and at any fastival are very interesting.
The indoor games and outdoor games facilities available.

Dislikes

The building are getting old they should have to paint the buildings and decorate.
The hostel for PG students is not good specially for girls.

Placement Experience:

In M.Tech. the students are eligible for placements after second sem. The highest package is 56lpa giving by Microsoft. The average placement pakage for CSE is around 10lpa. 90 percent students getting placed.

You can focus on gate, or any other job teachers are helpful no issue of attendance.
easily pass as syllabus is not hard,and get a B.tech degree.

Dislikes

poor infracture, lack of resources such as sports facility.
Less qualified teachers with no PHDs, and familiar with basic knowledge.
No placements, whatever you can do is off campus only

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is perceived as average , lacking specific elements that might make it stand out. In my case, the motivation was not to waste a year by opting for a drop. The flexibility in attendance which let me focus on other interests. The curriculum is same as MAKAUT, and the exam frequency is also controlled by MAKAUT .Areas of improvement is infrastructure and better faculty.
