Remarks
The main reason to join LPU was the exposure it provides to students in terms of opportunities to excel. I was very keen in Computer Science Engineering and LPU has its name in one amongst the top colleges to provide a learning environment in which students can learn and grow. The placements out here were also good with a wonderful 90% + placement rate in my field which also adds to its reputation. LPU also has one amongst the best infrastructure in the country with an area of 600 acres. LPU also provides scholarship ranging from 10% to 50% on tuition fees which also adds up in the reasons to choose this university.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course syllabus was made in quite wonderful manner considering the fact that all the subjects is to be started from basics to make the learning process easier. The faculties were knowledgeable and they were the main reasons to create an inquisitive learning environment. Well all the faculties were very good but still special names do come out and in my entire learning period till now, the best teachers were Pavas Sehgal, Ritesh Pawar, Dr. Gajanand Gupta, Moin Hasan, Jai Prakash.
Internships Opportunities
I was a campus ambassador for Board Infinity. It is an online platform where a student can enroll in his/her desired courses. The process to get internship here is to first fill their form on their website and then a telephonic interview is held.
Placement Experience
Placements in LPU is quite good especially in Computer Science and IT fields. Since I m in 2nd year I know a lot of seniors who got placed in reputed companies like Amazon, Byju's, Bosch etc. with a good pay scale of over 6-14 lakhs. Last year a girl also got placed in Microsoft with a package of 42 lakhs. LPU has a placement cell which prepares students for the interviews and exams so that they perform good and grab the best opportunities. Startups are also promoted by LPU and they also work towards funding of the startup.
College Events
There are a lot of co curricular activities conducted in LPU. There are also many student groups and organisations like Spade, Club20 etc, which always conducts many activities and events in the campus. LPU also brings many actors and stars for promotional purposes and the crowd indulgence is very large. There are also events like One World and One India which are performed by a lot of students and a huge number of students from different branches do go and visit the event. These sort of events is generally conducted in Unipolis region of LPU which is very spacious and can include the all the students at a time. There is also and inter hostel competition which is held in the autumn time.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarship ranges from 10% to 50% according to the marks based on 12th boards, Jee Mains Or LPUNEST. I personally got a scholarship of 30% on my tuition fees on the basis of LPUNEST marks.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are very large and are divided into blocks.There are 8 hostel buildings for boys (BH1 to BH8) and 6 for girls (GH1 to GH6). There are also apartments present as per the students needs. Hostels are divided into single seater to 4 seater rooms and also dormitories. While single seater rooms and apartment do cost a lot, feasible rooms are generally 4 seater or 3 seater for which prices are Rs 55000 and Rs 65000 respectively which includes air cooler. There is also an option of air conditioner for which, 10000 is charged extra. The hostel lifts are always gunctional. The hostel wardens are also very friendly and any issue faces by a hostler is addressed with immediate attention. There is also 24/7 wifi and electricity available.
