Remarks

College is well worth studying as placement record is one of very best in North India. Fees might feel bit stretched but faculty being one of the very best is well worth all our money. College management is of very good standard. Latest labs and beautiful

Entrance Preview

B.Tech was the most happening course and I took the admission with recommendation from my professor.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course Curriculum was mix of descriptive and practical. Special attention was given to each student. Professors had formed the great bond between themselves and students. Labs were big in size and had all the latest equipments.

Internships Opportunities

Many MNCs came and stipend was between 15000 to 25000. ITC, Phillips, Zee group, Jindal Steel, Oswal mills etc. Infact many low profile companies were Denied entry.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement and job opportunities were maximum. Many MNCs offered between Rs.20000 to Rs.70000 sallary. ITC, Phillips, Zee group, Jindal Steel, Oswal mills etc all are regular. Infact many low profile companies were Denied entry.

College Events

4

All the festivals of Punjab are celebrated with pomp and show in the campus. National festivals are given utmost importance too. Sports day is organised too.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is OK. Bit expensive but being fought by the cream of North Indian professors it is well worth it. So no complaints as getting a good job is almost guaranteed.

Fees and Financial Aid

Institute doesn't offer any loan facilities but scholarship is available. Also loan can be arranged from all govt. Banks under study loan.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus include very modern facilities. Sports ground for many sports is well laid all around campus. Also there is running track of high quality. There is separate arrangement for girls to stay. Students from all over India and few even foreign student are there. Competitions like robotic projects and debates do happen all around the year.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel facility is very good and not Extreamly expensive like in Delhi. Food is offered at very reasonable price

Alumni/Alumna

College seniors were always helpful. Anti- Ragging cells were in proper force and new comers never faced any issues. Alumni list is big and strong. Infact few even work at NASA.

Exam Structure

Exams happen every month. While finals are conducted in semester system that is every six months. Monthly tests helped us to be ready for semester exams in advance.

Faculty

4

Faculty was among the best of North India. Had a great time to be thought by such experienced faculty. Many of them were gold medalists of their subject.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
