GCC is a renowned college of Guwahati, I love math so take admission in this college as this college has good professor and provides opportunities to student to grow and think critically about the subject

Course Curriculum Overview

Study without desire spoils the memory, and it retains nothing that it takes in so as teacher's are very friendly with the students to help them gain interest in the subject. To have desire about the subjects

No campus interview happen in our college as far as my concerned,they will do it very soon I think do

College Events

Organizers of this college organized very top notch programmes for students which is very cool and pleasing. Every year cultural event are organized and fresher party are the bestest party you will ever had

Campus Life

Campus Infrastructure is so far good they have huge library inside but there is no availability of Wifi as it is very much required well other than that sports facilities are good too,well there is no labs requirements

Likes

I like how professors interact with us without showing any tantrums dat dey r central university professors
Whole departmental staff are very helpful
Canteen service is good in affordable price

Dislikes

Rooms are not air-conditioned and no cleanliness
Less computers but students lack of computer can't attend computers based subject classess
There are no enough room for students to take lunch or no room for recreational activities

Nice one as it's my stream commerce from class 11 I have been learning about it so I m used 2 it can grab quickly about it and lso economics subject lso included in it as economics is d mother of commerce

Classes are regular which helps in enhancing over-all result
Teachers are also friendly and helps in certain areas
My engagement with campus is good and everyone is interactive

Dislikes

Infrastructure of the university can be developed more
No indoor stadiums are there to play indoor games
Digital classes should be provided in every classes

I always wanted to take commerce after completing my 10th and after applying in this university, I liked the facilities available here and also the classes and the course structure is also easy to understand which males it very helpful and easy

Golden days

Likes

The one thing about the college that I liked was the faculty and the teachers
The faculty was really helpful and were there to support in every step
The campus was newly built and very spacious and was very pleasing

Dislikes

Something I disliked was the infrastructure
I also disliked the amount of students in each class
I disliked the college canteen, it was really small

I always wanted to make careen in Accounts background so I opted for M.com and it was a good decision, had no complains with the teachers teaching methods everything was on point the timing of exams were good of 3 hours. 1 disadvantage was that they didn't have campus placements

Likes

I liked the expertise and teaching methods of the professors.
I liked the social life and the campus life.
I also liked the infrastructure and the amenities available in the campus.

Dislikes

This university doesn't provide internships to students.
It doesn't provide practical education and does not teach real life application of their knowledge.
The placement cell is not quite effective and doesn't actively promote career advancement of students

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. This curriculum includes the courses related to commerce and it prepares us for the real- world quite well though it needs alot of improvement which includes internships. 2. This course should include internships so that students can work in the real world and gain some practical knowledge. 3. Exams are held 4 to 8 times a year and they are quite difficult.

Circumstances for different courses are accepted in online procedure. Learners must correlate in online mode only after substantiating eligibility as designated by the University.

The administrative process or work of the University is very slow. Results are not declared in time. It take sometimes 6 months to declare result. The university is located at ideal location. Bus service is not sufficient, more number of buses needed.

I applied to a lot of other colleges but those were all backup for me if I didn't get admission here . I applied in dispur college , kc das commerce college , guwahati college etc . We are admitted to colleges here using the samarth website. There are two merit lists provided by each college in the samarth website. I wasn't selected in the 1st merit list in gcc which ofcourse scared me a bit , but I got my names in the other previously mentioned colleges but I wanted to wait for the second merit list for which I had to hear a lot like what if I didn't even get my name on the second list of gcc . But I was sure I would get because my percentage was just 0.4% short from the cut off of the last merit list . I wanted this college because of emotional attachments + gcc has one of the best merits among all the commerce colleges in the entire northeast . Even this year in the toppers list published by gauhati university, 9 out of 10 students were from Gcc itself...Read More

I've applied to many other colleges in Guwahati city like KC DAS commerce College , Dispur College, but I have choosed this college at last, because this college is also known as the best college in the entire Northeast, so I have chooses this college.
