Remarks

I chose MCC as it is one of the old college in Asia. The college is very well known for its education. I came to know about this college while searching for BCA college in Chennai. The college is very well connected to Public transport.

Course Curriculum Overview

They have a nice education system. All lecturers are qualified professionals. They help you understand any difficulty you may be facing regarding the subject. The curriculum has a lot of additional general classes apart from your main subject. You can opt for any course and succeed. It all depends on how you plan your future to be.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 220000 per year

Placement Experience

The placement percentage of this college was 80%. The lowest salary is 1.9 LPA - 3.8 LPA. The companies like Sutherland, Verizon, Cognizant, Omega, Justdial visited the college. It is easy to get placed. If you have the skills. If you have better communication, it is easy to get placed in a company. If you have skills in coding and programming, you can be placed in development and software testing.

College Events

Many events are conducted depending on the course. Deepwoods, the inter-college cultural programme which is held for 3 days every year in the college. There are several college clubs which also organise small events.

Campus Life

This college doesn't have the modern hi-tech library, Wi-Fi and stuff. They handle it the old school way. They have a great library with all the necessary books. They have a nice computer lab for BCA programming and one for vision photo editing and designing. Now at present, there are some changes that are happening and more buildings are under construction. The atmosphere is the best thing in this college, where you can see a lot of trees.

In vlb Janakiammal college of arts and science kovaipudhur coimbatore ,i dont know much about the placements but there are so much placements for everyone the placement success rate is almost 98 persent

Likes

They allow all cultural events.They also conduct events in the college

Dislikes

They increase penalty if students dont pay the sem fees on time then they also increase the exam fees from sem to sem

My aim is to go cinema field.So,only I choose visual communication.After choosing visual communication only i can understood the real world is so different I can't get it anything easy I want to work hard to get the position I want to be.

Overall Good Experience at EEC

Likes

good infrastructure, clean campus and well equipped classrooms and labs.
Faculty members are supportive and explain concepts clearly with practical examples.
Good placement opportunities, career guidance and opportunities to participate in activities.

Dislikes

The workload can be huge sometimes, especially during examinations and project submissions.
some subjects could include more practical and industry-oriented learning
More campus activities and student interactions opportunities would improve campus life.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Life in HIMT

Likes

With regards to training and placements the college is very good . All training as per DGMA and IMU is strictly followed and the placements for B.Sc is 90% and above . The faculties and instructors in the college are well experienced and skilled.
The college is strict regarding alcohol and smoking and it is not allowed inside campus and regular alcohol checks are conducted . Discipline and safety is the first priority for the college.
Classrooms are air conditioned. Hostel rooms are good . Any defects in rooms or any places inside college which are addressed are rectified.

Dislikes

College doesn't conduct inter college events . Internal events are very less . The few events conducted in college has also many restrictions.
Galley food can be better . College canteen is not good

Placement Experience:

The placements for B.Sc Nautical science in HIMT is 90% and above . The placement drive usually starts in the 2nd year (4th semester) and for girls 1st year (2nd semester). The companies which usually come for placements in my college are MOLMI,MOLTA, ZODIAC,SANMAR,GENCO, ONESEA etc ... The package for cadets differ from company to company and type of vessel.

Likes

My great experience in HIMT

Likes

all staffs are we experienced in their field and good in explaining, very friendly
hostel is well maintained and college is always clean
everything works in college based upon the review system. so any issues will resolve quickly

Placement Experience:

HIMT has good placements rates to all the batches, espically for GME they are doing well good. many gets placements in first semester itself. many big gaint companies in marine industry are approching to HIMT for placements.

Worst colleges in Chennai -WCC

Likes

Exams can be usually easy as this is a five year integrated course
Some faculties are friendly as they themselves are fresh graduates

Dislikes

But most faculties come off very rude and disrespectful
The office people are not at all approachable
The student login has so many glitches which cause delays in downloading of hallticket

Course Curriculum Overview:

There is one end semester exam and 2 CIAs in one year.Endsem is for 100m and CIAs are 40marks each . There is one assignment for each CIA for 10m each. So totally both the CIA together is 100 marks. Then the average of CIA and end semester is calculated if 40 or above it's pass otherwise you have to reappear. The subjects are not at relevant as computer science keeps changing regularly.

I got admission in this college via counselling. I had PCB in 10+2 and gave NEET which a national entrance test exam to get admission into medical courses. The scores obtained in entrance exam matters a lot in deciding the merit.

A view on recent days MCC

First there is no test admission it purely based on your cut off mark and first come first serve. The factors that made me choose Madras Christian College were it's tradition and culture, in mcc we have rich culture and traditions which took places throughout the year, I get to know about this from my brother. A life in MCC

I have a applied up to 8 college and I got selected from all the 8 colleges First one Guru Nanak Second one Vivekananda College Third MCC Fourth Loyola Thomas College Sixth dgv 7th Hindustan College And SRM ramapuram I have choose the MCC College because it has good amount of surroundings and and good amount of environment which are useful for the people who are studying there and they have different types of cultures and people all over from India you studying in the college.
