Remarks

Good is you will not find any problem if you found out you can directly with chairman. Only bad is their discipline too much restriction but it can be taken as positive only. Because of this only no ragging, fight takes place in campus.

Entrance Preview

I wrote AIEEE exam and got around 70000 all India rank. I counselled in west Bengal but didn't get my specialization. Then my parents friend suggested to look for Anna university affiliated college as they used to take admission on 12th percentage basis. I applied but application got rejected due to certificate issue. Then I directly contacted college and they asked to pay some amount. So this way I got admission in this college. The main reason for this college was its discipline punctuality and I got my specialization too.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is totally Anna university's curriculum. In first semester common subjects to all branches and in second semester only 1-2 subjects were changed like circuit theory. From third semester onwards full electrical stream paper will be included. Even from 1st to 6th sem one computer language paper will be included. Two industrial visit is necessary in each semester. So they can get some industrial environment too. Rest like lab, practical and record maintaining is necessary in each semester.

Internships Opportunities

There is no internship offered to any student. So as well no stipend. As they don't allow to do internship due to shortage of vacation. Maximum duration of vacation allowed is 15 days and internship duration is something around 30 days atleast.

Placement Experience

3

Placement is around 60 %. Depends on market demand company used to visit. In 2013 some famous company like HP,wipro, csc, satyam ventures etc came and took around 350 students. Then some small company like rameshwar engineering, cnps came and around 50 students got placed. The average package they offered was 2.2 lag pa.

College Events

3

In this surely I will give 8 out of 10. College used to organise technical symposium, national conference, robotics competition, quiz, treasures hint competition etc. Some time governor of Tamilnadu used to come as chief guest. Overall it is good in this arena.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible. If you come through counselling then around Rs 35,000 needs to be deposited per year. If you are through management quota then Rs 65,00 needs to be deposited. Each semester they used to put debit of around Rs 3000.

Fees and Financial Aid

Mahatma Gandhi scholarship worth Rs 7 crore is provided to meritorious top three students of each state. They will give assistance to loan.

Campus Life

4

Girls to boys ratio depends on branch which you have taken. In electrical engg only 9 girls were there out of 65 students in class. Extra curriculum activities will be organised well in terms of technical. You will not find any political terms to be done.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels are well structured. I will give 8 to structure and 7 to food and 7 to facilities provided. As there were stores like spa, food canteen, book shop, general stores will be available. Food will be cooked clean by experienced chef. There are various types of rooms available like single a.c. & non a.c,double, triple and four sharing rooms. If you are looking for PG then it will take around Rs 7000-9000 per month.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes our seniors were very supportive and act as guidance to us. Every year on occasion of republic day alumni meeting is organised in which many seniors used to come and share their views regarding carrer.

Exam Structure

Exams were always a headache. As more number of exams used to be conducted per semester. But due to that only we don't had any over pressure during final university exam. If you failed in internal then they used to organise extra classes on weaker subjects. Exams will be always conducted like university pattern exam.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty is not that good but also not that bad. Only problem is that some (1-2) teacher will speak only tamil language. But this can be overcome in extra classes. They are well qualified. Some of them are PH.D and rest are M.Tech.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.
