A good PGDM college in South India

Except mess facilities, all other things are fine as experienced by me . Campus life is very good . You get all the facilities in campus . Its near chamundi hills, so view is also very good. Management is good, if you have some issues, they will try to solve it out if you inform them . Canteens etc works in good manner . I would rate it as a good college.

For its PGDM program, college accepts scores of CAT, MAT, XAT and CMAT. I took CAT and scored 76 percentile in the exam . You need to apply for it separately. I opted for this particular college because of placements, ranking, faculty, location, infrastructure.

Course curriculum is upto the standards of top MBA colleges in India like IIMs, MDI, IIFT etc . Course and subjects are revised every year, additions and deletions are done . Faculty and industry leaders design the course together so that student can learn everything he needs to do after getting placed from college.

Yes, the college provides internships . During January-February of every year, companies start coming to hire students as interns . MNCs, startups, NGOs etc all come for internships .

Placements and job opportunities are very good . Placement is almost 100% . Here also, MNCs, startups, banks etc all come for placements and good profiles are offered . They hire for Indian as well as overseas locations . Salary offered is at the level of many top colleges in the country.

We have many events in our college . When a new batch arrives, within one month, we organize KHOJ . In this, we try to find diversified talent in the new batch . After this- ABHIGYAAN which is a national level fest for Undergraduate students . It runs for 3 days and then we have NAISSANCE which is a national level b-school fest . It gets participation from more than 80 b-schools across the country.

Fee is around 10 lacs for PGDM program . It includes education fee and hostel fee. Mess fee is taken on monthly basis . MBA colleges in India charge from 4 lacs to 20 lacs for whole program . Our fee is somewhere in the middle . Also, college provides loan facilities .

Scholarships are there at various levels .Need based scholarships are there as well as scholarships based on marks are also there.Loan is offered by college.

Campus life is good, Campus is very beautiful and its architecture is very good. Gender ratio I would say - M:F = 3:7 . Students organize parties on various festivals . We celebrate all the festivals - Holi, diwali, dushera, dyrga pooja, onam etc . Sports meet and SPL (SDMIMD Premiere league) is organized every year . Debate competitions and b-plan competitions are organized.

Hostel facilities are good . Hostel is compulsory for everyone . Individual rooms are there for everyone -this is a good thing. Also, we have LAN facility in hostel. Mess serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and food is fine. It mayn't be liked by a North Indian.

Alumni network is very good and they are placed at good managerial positions in MNCs like Delll, Volvo, Bosch . Alumni meet is organized every year so as to have a good connect with alumni.When you contact an alumni, they will surely help you.

Whole course is divided into 6 terms - i.e. 6 trimesters, and 2 month internship. In every trimester, we have 4-8 subjects depending on area of specialisation . In every subject, 2 exams are taken during a trimester - mid term and end term . Also, faculty regularly takes quizzes, assignments and presentations which are part of our assessment.

Faculty of the college are very good. College has 5 specializations in PGDM- Marketing, HR, Finance, Operations and Systems . It has around 5 faculty for each specialisation and 5 faculty teaching core subjects like economics, IT etc . Faculty are highly educated and have good industry experience . They have worked in many MNCs in the past . They are a mix of industry and teaching experience. They are a good mentor too . You can walk to them anytime and they will help you.
