Chill and kill boredom at Somaiya Clg

Likes

The campus,,, Somaiya has best college campus with lot of activities area in it
The Sittings accross the campus is really student friendly
Canteens were supper affordable for students for food accessibility

Dislikes

The cordination given by management of college, They were so rude all the time idk y

Course Curriculum Overview:

Literature gave me insights to the history and a different pov on the situations happened Literature sharpens the thought process we can have in real world scenarios which are quite unique tbh. Its just too much of theory, if could update it and make it somehow relavent to today situation, it would be fun learning it

SPC from a TYBA students POV

Likes

Kalamandal (like theatre club), it’s a different world and it’s magical.
December to March is the college fests time and it’s super lively and fun
Psychology, Sociology & Philosophy departments have amazing professors. They’re smart, helpful and actually care for their students

Dislikes

Except for Psyc, Socio& Philo other departments are awful specially the English department. The HOD herself speaks horrible English and doesn’t even know any books of jane Austin besides pride and prejudice.
The toilets are horrible and never clean and are barely open even. The canteens are also okayish at most.
The management and accounts department are horribly slow

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's good, it's fun and I enjoy it. It changes every sem and that's why we also get to explore more of the subjects. It also depends on the professor tho. First year is to chose 6 different subjects and explore. Then second year you get to choose one major and two minors. Major are then divided into 3 parts, the 2 minor subject are elaborated and one compulsory subject which is English, this continues for third year. There are 2-3 additional subjects that change every sem too like PE, EVS, etc.

The college management has appointed a student council who look after all the needs of the students and is responsible and accountable to manage and follow up different activities, events and functions throughout the year. They are the main link between all the societies working in the college and team members of these societies.

SIES the brand speaks and this was the reason I entered the ocean of knowledge. It's a 25 years young institution. I've heard from the seniors about the legacy of the institute. SIES accepts CET, CAT, ATMA, CMAT, etc entrances for the PGDM Course. The admission process consists of 3 levels that include a WAT, GD & PI. The shortlist is displayed around the month of May. This is a very smooth and systematic process....Read More

SIESCOMS never leaves your hand.

SIESCOMS was a life-changing experience for me. It helped me transform myself. It made me a better version of myself. Personally, it helped me gain more confidence and overcome my fears. I had stage fright and SIESCOMS gave me an opportunity to overcome this in a better way than I had imagined. Professionally it helped me grow and learn many more things I wasn't even aware of. The faculty plays an important role in transforming you. Giving opportunities in every single path you choose. In SIESCOMS the placement cell will guide you and hold your hand till the time you get placed in your dream company. I have been placed in Ernst and Young which is one of the Big 4 as a consultant. SIESCOMS even during the pandemic did not step back for helping students get placed in their dream companies. It was a privilege to be an MBA student in SIESCOMS....Read More
