DTU REVIEW

  • 8.3/10Ratings

    REMARKS

College management is very slow and unresponsive and that's the area I would say needs most improvement.

  • FEE STRUCTURE AND FACILITIES

It's expensive as you don't expect 2 lac p.a. fees from a govt college. Many students have to take loans or apply for fees relaxation or exemption because of this. There are many relaxations for reserved students and economically weaker sections too.

    PLACEMENT WING

Placement drives are great but placing 1800 students isn't easy too . Despite that almost every student had an offer by the time his fourth year was completed till last year. They are even trying to get placements and companies for students who've been deferred or their offers revoked

  • ADMISSION

I got admission through Jee Mains which is conducted every year around march end. Admission was further finalised near july end with all the shortlists etc. I opted for this college and stream because I've had heard many positive reviews and seen students prospering myself.

  • HOSTEL FACILITIES

Hostels are great for bonding with your pears but it's not easy to get hostel for those who live nearby. They are not that strict about timings for boys but are for girls . Food there is delicious somedays and uneatable some other days.

  • ALUMNI

Seniors are mostly very helpful in every way they can be. Alumni don't really stay that well connected with us though they do organise sessions once in a while from them

    FACULTY

Lecturers are quite experienced in my stream. They are mostly doctors or at least have masters from good institutes with great experience. The faculty is a little bit unresponsive towards students and always has been a little bit too hard perhaps too when I compare my college with other colleges.

  • CAMPUS LIFE

Gender ratio isn't good as is the case with most govt engineering colleges. Campus life however I would say is more than good because of so many places to hang out in delhi. There are various competitions in every field ranging from robotics, debates, and labs are mostly in average condition.

  • COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

Exam structures are rarely relevant in today's world but they still try their best and make them quite practical so that lot learning won't help. These kind of exams help in preparing for further entrance exams like GATE,IES etc. They seem comparatively easy after studying such hard numericals and trying to solve them

  • 9 /10Ratings

    COLLEGE EVENTS

There are way too many cultural, tech, literary events which engages every student in one or other activity . There is engifest- cultural epitome , invictus the technical fest and Yuvaan ,the literary fest. Many big artists come in all three of these events

  • LOAN/ SCHOLARSHIP PROVISIONS

Loans are easily available through sbi and another bank. These can be availed at the time of admission.

Decent College and good placements here

Placement -

Placements are good compared to the other colleges. Many companies visit colleges and recruit the maximum number of people from the batch. Due to less strength, many students get the opportunity to get placed in their dream companies. So, placements are very good at this college.

College memories!

Remarks -

None, my college is great. It even takes care of students who might be mentally troubled. There are counselors who hear out students and give them sound advice to curb burnout due to depression. As it is a Ragging free campus, everyone lives in peace and harmony.

Good college

Remarks -

The college management needs to be more productive. They bug you about the silliest things, especially attendance. Attendance is 75% mandatory although it needs to be 50% in reality even if you have 70% attendance they would send text, mails, e-mails to somehow inform the parents every month which is pesty
