Remarks

Admin is strict I would say and not much helpful. None of the students like our college's admin. I suppose that is the way in most colleges. Overall I like my university.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is fine. I can't say much as I just completed my first year. First year is almost common for all branches. We study computer programming, basics of mechanical engineering, chemistry, electrical and electronics, data structure, etc. From 3rd Sem subjects get more specific to your branch.

Placement Experience

5

Nsit is known for placements. Top companies like Google, Facebook, Microsoft, etc recruit from this college. Around 90 per cent of the students get placed every year during campus placements.

College Events

5

A lot of events are celebrated at nsit. Moksha is the annual inter-college cultural festival of Nsut. Innovision is the annual inter-college, techno-managerial fest and Resonanz is the annual intra-college cultural festival. Reso and Inno are held in odd sem while moksha in even. There are many other events held by societies, like Ecell conducts Ideathon and E-Summit.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My fee last year was 1,66,000. Its increased every year. For this year it's 1,90,000. University is transparent about fee breakdown. No additional fee has to be paid to secure admission. Scholarships are available for students. Various methods of payments are made available for students.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not opted for scholarship or loan, so I don't know much about its procedure. But yes, there are various scholarships made available and there is option to take loan.

Campus Life

It's an engineering college, as usual gender ratio is bad. Among 110 students only 10 were girls. Campus life is great. The campus is huge, flushed with greenery and offers a picturesque environment with peacocks roaming around. Apart from the studies, the college offers various extracurricular activities as well. You can choose among many societies according to your interest. There are societies for dance, music, drama, fashion, debating etc. Not only co-curricular but you can also work on your educational and technical skills in societies like CSI, IEEE, BHR. The Rotaract Club deals with social service. And there's more to explore when you join the college.

Alumni/Alumna

We can connect with alumni using flinkhub. Seniors are really great and helpful. Seniors here are amazing and always guide the juniors.

Admission

Admission is done through Jee mains for B-Tech. After giving Jee Mains we have to fill JAC application form. We have fill out preferences of branch and university. JAC Delhi counselling is conducted by Joint Admission Committee (JAC) Delhi for admission to BE/BTech and BArch degree programmes offered by 4 technical universities- DTU, IGDTUW, IIIT-D and NSUT. Seats are allotted according to Mains rank. There are 4 rounds and a spot round. After confirmation of seat, student has to visit university for counseling. This process starts in last week of May. This year guidelines will be issued later as Jee mains has not been conducted yet.

Faculty

4

Faculty is fine. Few of the professors are really great and helpful, few of them are not that much. Faculty is qualified, they have an ample amount of knowledge. Few of the professors just don't know how to convey this know knowledge to students. I'd say 6 out of 10 professors are good.

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
