Remarks

As a remark I would say that my college should improvise in recruitment sector. Other than that the college has managed to provide a healthy and educational environment which inspires the students in a unique way.

Entrance Preview

I took the AIEEE exam in which I scored 90. I also had to take AUEET which was held by the University. Further a personal interview was held for my admission in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course in which I took admission is divided into eight semester where each semester is for a duration of six months. The syllabus is common for all branches in first two semester. Starting from third sem the syllabus covers topics of their specific stream. The college has a institutionalized syllabus for each stream. It covers all the necessary topics that are part of the curriculum. Also the course syllabus and topics are updated every year with changes in current trends in technology.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, the college provided us with internship but none of us got any paid internship. The companies that provided internship were small firms within the city.

Placement Experience

2

Although the college has a specific placement department who looks after the placements of students but it lacks determination to put effort to place the students. The first company which came for recruitment was 'FUTURES FIRST'. It provided with highest package of 8 LPA + incentives. Although only one student was recruited in the company. The other recruiting companies (with package) which came into our college are as follows:Think & Learn : 4.5 - 5 LPAAmazon : 3 - 3.5 LPAAIG : 4- 4.5 LPAAbout one third of the total students from our batch were placed through college recruitment process.

College Events

4.5

At Alliance college the students do not only focus upon academics but also various festivals are celebrated with great joy. Different programs are held on Indian festivals like Holi, Onam, Ugadi etc. in which most of the college students would participate. For Ganesh Puja statue of Lord Ganesha is brought in campus and immersed on Ganesh visarjan as per the rituals. But the biggest fest in our college is the Alliance Carnival. It is the time when almost every student takes part in various events. It is a time of utmost celebration at College campus.

Fee Structure And Facilities

There are two modes of admission in this college. The students who get admission through KCET via state quota have to pay fee of around 50 thousand per year. Students who take admission through other exams have to pay a total fee of Rs. 6 lacs in four installments.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provided me information about the various loan schemes from ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank while taking admission. Although I did not need to take any loan for my course.

Campus Life

4

Campus life at Alliance in just amazing. The college doesn't only focus on academics but also on students' social life as well. Gender ratio is about 2:1 of boys is to girls. There are students from all over the country and a few students from outside India too. Various sports events like football cup, cricket league etc is also held at college.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

In hostel provided by college the charges are pretty high ranging from 50 thousand to 90 thousand per semester. Although college mess charges are moderate. Rooms are spacious and are provided with necessary facilities like bathroom, table, chair, bed etc. College food is of good quality and to keep up the taste they always keep changing their menu.

Alumni/Alumna

The Course in which I took admission was the first batch from the college hence I didn't have any senior from my course but I had seniors from other courses. My college seniors were helpful and guided me whenever I got into any trouble.

Exam Structure

There are two mid sem exams and one final exam for each theory subject. For practicals there is one mid sem exam and one final exam being held. Each subject contains credit points depending upon the importance of that topic. To be eligible for degree one has to get minimum credits required while taking the course.Being a semester wise course the exams are held quite frequently (almost every next month).Although the questions asked are not so hard. One who is regular and attentive in class can easily pass the exams. For those who want to score high need to put extra effort.

Faculty

3.5

Faculties at our college are easy to access, quite frank, helpful and are available in need. Each faculty belongs to a specific department. But a student from different department may also reach out to a faculty from other department. Most of the professor in this university are doctorates with high teaching experience except a few who lack both experience and knowledge.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is a mix of both Computer Science and AIML which is increasingly relevant in today's world. Second year: Subjects like Mathematics for AIML, Data Structures, Stats for Data Science, Computer Networks, Third year: DBMS, ANN, ML operations Some other elevtives are also available and courses like Universal Human Values, POME, EIPR etc. Honestly, POME, EIPR, UHV should have less course credits and probably MCQ type exams (like IC and Yoga in first year). Curriculum is good and updating for applications helped along with projects. Exams are generally once in a month, 1.5 - 2 units for each subject each exam. Lab exams at the very end before CIE marks finalization. Then 2 weeks gap for Lab SEE, then 1 week gap and actual SEE's.

Placement Experience:

KSIT has an average placement rate of 70%-85% depending on the branch . CSE,ISE and ECE branches have higher placements while mechanical and civil have fewer opportunities in IT sector . Average package is about 4-6LPA . KSIT attracts many IT based recruitiers with some core companies for non -IT branches . It also provides pre-placement training, coding boot cams, aptitude tests and soft skills development . Alumni network is moderate, but students need off-campus efforts for high paying jobs
