Remarks

The teaching style isn't that great in Presidency, but the guest lectures are amazing. They give a completely different perspective to the outside world that is beyond the scope of what a textbook can teach. They tell us, it's all about the exploring and passion that you'll find the end result at.

Entrance Preview

I did not give any entrance exam, neither did I give any of the above mentioned national exam. That simply wasn't the requirement for the course or the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The main curriculum is a greatly structured one. However, I did that there were little core subjects every semester. Only about 3 in 6. I was astounded to find that Bangalore university demands only the same difficulty level for the course. But I would say the core subjects being taught was accurately described and taught.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, the college does provide interships. The stipend is equal to, if not below the national average. About Rs.20K is the starting stipend pm. Fortune 500 Companies like Accenture , HP and Amazon does internships at our institution.

Placement Experience

2

More than 80% of the batch last year was placed and successfully employed. The jobs offered are mostly software programming and a few others are call centers and supervising software related fields. Nothing as exciting as what's offered internationally. They offer as much Rs.20K P.M and the jobs are from fortune 500 companies like Infosys, HP, Amazon and Accenture etc.

College Events

3

Presidency conducts many cultural fests, Hackathons, I.T Fests and so many more fests and occasional DJ nights with popular DJ's in the house. A lot of management fests including HR fests, club fests and music fests, Radio Jockey Fests etc are conducted at regular intervals.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is equal to what's offered in competitive colleges and fees for Each courses are: BCA: 2 Lakhs/Full course, BBA: 2.3 Lakhs/Full course, BA: 2 Lakhs/Full Course. These are as per 2015-2016 Batch of students. The figures are subjective to change without notice.

Fees and Financial Aid

As far as I know, loans are not provided by the college nor did I hear about any scholarships given out. There's huge support from the higher staff for any requirement though. The staff is helpful in asking any questions if seeked.

Campus Life

3

There's 3:4 Female to male ratio in each division of a course semester. About 70 Students are allowed in each class. Most of the classes are conducted underground. There no political talks in the campus and there's many students from variety of ethicity that we get to meet and interact. Additionally, there's no Common religion followed or forced to follow. We're diverse, independent of decision making and economic stability is quite perfectly balanced in the ecosystem of Presidency College.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostels are pretty nice. The place is cleaned and maintained at regular intervals. The mess food is full vegetarian at most days. Non veg options are limited and subjective to change regularly only on Wednesdays. The security has strict curfew rules that must be followed without breaking them.

Alumni/Alumna

Although the teaching methods of certain staff is a little annoying, they do help out when asked politely and if you're a popular student you're in luck. Most of the teachers won't remember the names of students of their class unless you're popular. There's not a lot of alumi we get to see or are exposed to the current students to talk of experience. We do however get to meet then at times. This happens probably once in a year or so.

Exam Structure

The exams were very frequent. We are to give a weekly round test that's conducted in an as strict manner as the finals are conducted. They're really strict about the curriculum and the workload isn't balanced and most of the days it's quite hectic. Most of us find it really hard to jump from one core to the other at the pace.

Admission

I went in my my application and filled in the details and was asked about my course, my marksheet, my certificates and paid my admission fee and was a registered student. There was no formal introduction to the college or any interviews conducted. There wasn't even a simple aptitude test or general exam. They simply just let anyone in.

Faculty

3

I found really less high quality faculty in Presidency. Their teaching style wasn't even as good as the average high school teachers. I was expecting PhD educators, but to no avail did I find such. I must say that, nevertheless, the college does find external guests to give us a out of the box thinking experience with brief teaser on what's exciting in the white collar departments.

There are many companies that approach our college to hire potential students as their employees. The placement department has the data of students who would opt for placements and would like to get a job after the work is done. Companies like Cognizant, Deloitte, Moss Adams, EY etc. Have hired several students from our college and even I got placed in one of the companies that came here for placements.

Placement Experience:

Final year students are eligible for campus placement compare to other colleges in ballari this college ia better for placement but disadvantage is they allow all colleges of bellary campus ao that be will have more competition When i was final year 0 companies visited because my batch is corona batch...so no one got placements As per my knowledge last year they got average is 200000 per annum and highest is 300000 per annum this ia last .that to they got only BPO jobs even after completing BCA Out of 50 members in a class only 2 members may get selected only one percent chance to get selected so dont dream campus placement in this college After completing BCA do MCA so that you may get knowledge and job both u will be seen as a engineer .or else do the course on your interested domain and get into the job . My advice is to do mca only two years and then go to job u will be more successful
