Although VIT is a pvt university but it considered better than many NIT. In VIT i got curse of my choice mechanical engineering. mechanical engineering comes under the school of mechanical and building sciences (SMBS).
Course Curriculum Overview
every year VIT vellore conduct VITEEE for B. tech, but due to ongoing covid pandemic this year VIT vellore has cancelled VITEEE 2020.The admission of students wil be based on class 12th marks in physics, chem, math/biology for B. tech programme. VIT scholarship can be availed under a scheme called GV school development programme (GVSDP). Faculty is good in teaching and expect more from students. one can meet their faculty and clear doubts.
Placement Experience
core companies for mechanical branch are very few. many students go for higher studies. one have to work very hard to get placement in core companies. secure good CGPA to get good block and placement. students get average package of seven lac. among pvt universities VIT is ranked 1 in term of placement.
College Events
VIT is spread across a vast area of 370 acre of land. All seven blocks are are specialising in their field. hostels of VIT are designed in such a way that provide a comfortable, safe living. Hostels are A/C and non A/C. hostel fee is 130000 approximately excluding mess.
Campus Life
Campus is very big. plenty of well maintained labs are there. It is up to the student he want to sit for a company or not. university offer central library for its students. library has access to world e-book library. there are five categories for VITEEE, each have different fee structure depending on the rank you have obtained. The campus has entrepreneurship cell to incubate ideas. Wi-fi facility is available at hostel.
