Remarks

The placement is as spectacular as in Top IIT's. It comes in Top 5 colleges of India in Placement with IIT-Bombay and Delhi along its side. Even the number of patents and papers published are among India's Top 5. The college's strength is its placement even students from branches like Civil, Bio-Tech get decent placement. Senior and Junior relation is great. But the Faculties and labs of the college are pathetic there is no scope of Research. Btech admissions are done through JEE Mains exam and JAC counselling. The form usually open after JEE advanced exam(June 1st week)and counselling starts by the first week of July by last week of July 4 rounds take place then 2 internal rounds and admission ends with spot round. DTU has a brand value and no one can deny this fact. I chose the college because of the record-breaking placements and the crowd. You can find anyone from a coder to a civil service aspirant so you can have your own study group. Another reason was the exposure you get in Delhi.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

I chose this course I thought the faculty would be good and placement would be great. But the faculty of Computer Science and Engineering Department is not even fully qualified. There are only 2 professors in the whole department. Teacher: Student ratio is worst. Every class has 75 students in my batch. Most of the faculties have got ego problems. Half of the faculty members are PhD but still do not have basic knowledge about research. Teaching methods are way much older and are not at all practical. Teachers want students just to get marks.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

There is an internship drive along with the placement one. Google, Microsoft, Sprinklers, Amazon and Goldman Sachs are the big hire in Intern. The highest stipend was given by Sprinklr of 2 lacs. The average stipend was 60k. Google made an offer of 90k and Goldman Sachs of 80k INR. It is difficult to get an intern as compared to placement as the seats are less and most of the students are not even ready for it. They do not prepare much for that. If you even do a bit of hard work you can get an intern.

Placement Experience

5

From final year (4th year, 7th semester) you become eligible for placement. This data is for the year 2019-20. Google, Uber, Amazon, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Adobe, Samsung, Visa, Qualcomm, Flipkart, code nation, Apple and many other big names. 250 + companies came for the placement drive. About 1500 +placement offers were made. The highest International package was offered by Amazon of 1.07 Crores per annum INR and the highest domestic package was offered by Atlassian of INR 51.75 LPA. 150 CTC were above 20 LPA. 498 were in between of 10lpa and 20 LPA. 90.1 percent of the students got an offer from the companies. 1276 students were placed 12.08 LPA was the average CTC Offered in 2019-20 and 11.17 LPA in 2018-19.17My pan is either to get a great package or I will try for UPSC Civil Services exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are very much high approximately 2Lacs per year excluding hostel fees. Hostel fees are around 50,000 per year. College Fee is hiked by 10 percent every year and is same for all the year students. College provides financial assistance for students. During September a form is given by the college for their assistance for students whose income is less than 6 lacs per year. The scholarship is given according to the annual income of your family. Do get a family income certificate before September. Preference is given to Reserved categories and orphan students. You can apply for research Intern in the college itself stipend is around 2.5k per month. There is USIP Internship given by college with a stipend of 2k per month. Overall the fees is high for a middle class student still return of investment is high.

Campus Life

5

There is always something happening in college. There are main 4 fests of the college. Yuvaan (literature and Film fest January), Engi Fest (annual cultural fest, February), Ahaavan (Sports fest, March) and Invictus (Tech fest, April). Most of the books are present in the library but as the number is a student is huge so sometimes it is difficult to get the book. Classroom for the first years are called the SPS and they are fully AC with a capacity of 150 students fully equipped with Wifi and projectors. From 2nd-year classes take place in Respective Department. There is one 500 meter running track, a football ground, 2 basketball courts, 3 badminton courts, and 2 table tennis tables. The campus is filled with creative societies Dancing (Vibe, Nitraangna), singing (Madhurima), Debating (Cognitive Minds) Literature society (Sahitya), Arts, MUN, more than 10 technical societies like SR-DTU, SPE, IEEE etc and game theory society. Every day there is an event by any of these societies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
