Remarks

Near to my home, Sports facilities,Best Placement,good infrastructure, less fees as compared to other colleges, Gym facilities, Swimming facilities,Acting and other types of facilities are also available.

Course Curriculum Overview

The Course Curriculum,Academic, Faculties are very good. The course syllabus is updated.Now these days practically work is more going on as compared to theory. they focus on practical work so that students can understand easily and Rashmi tiwari is very nice madam and help us to clear our doubts and her teaching skills are excellent

Course Fees: INR 40000 per year

Placement Experience

Every year 350 plus recruiters are coming and 970 Plus placements are given to students. Placement process according to student skill and marks. If dressing sense, communication skills, marks and student skills are important to be placed for best companies. Every year 300 to 400 students are placed and feedback of placement is good.

College Events

Campus life is enjoyable, there are so many types of event held in our institute so that students develop mentally as well as physically, they provide each and every student to participate in various competitions and provide participation certificate also so that they encouraged to do more and participate in competition more.

Fees and Financial Aid

If you scored above 70% and 80% then you get 25 % and 50% scholarship respectively. If you score less than 70% but you are in reservation category then you can get admission in this college easily.

Campus Life

Sports facilities are available, good number of coaches to train players perfectly, full of Wi-Fi campus, size of library is large and thousands of books on every field are also available. Equipment in labs are of different types, every type of equipment is available.

Hostel Facilities

No, I have not opted for hostel but I know the hostel infrastructure. There is a huge hostel infrastructure for students. Anyone can easily avail the hostel facilities and fee structure for hostel is good and good food is also available.

Education Quality was good along with Teachinng
Infrastructure is decent according to punjab location
Management is helpful and good, you can reach them for help

Dislikes

Attendence i perdonally didn't like, but it is mandatory
little bit parking issue inside the campus
overall college is good, you can go for it but not for placements

Placement Experience:

Rest everything is good with college, only i have issue with placement, since there are very poor or only core sales job in punjab, college is able to provide that only. You have to work your ass off if you want to get good placement, provided their education quality is good

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

The best thing is that it is very affordable and enhance your knowledge at various aspects.
The second thing is there are extra hostel charges.
And conducts various conferences and workshops for enhancing students knowledge

Dislikes

The location of the college is not that much good.
You have to travel half an hour to reach market.
The hostel rules disallow you for high voltage electricals

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

I think, the campus is being liked by everyone whether its staff member or a student, because the university consists of many blocks or departments and that too are named as A1, A2, A3, A4 & B1, B2, B3, B4, B5 & C1, C2, C3 & D1,D2,D3,D4,D5,D6,D7,D8
Parks and all are made for the relaxation purpose of the student
Car Parkings are available separately for the students and staff and that also inside the campus which is ambitious.

Dislikes

The semester fees and other expenses is relatively higher as compared to other institutions
Some students find the university’s rule such as strict attendance policies and accurate timings for the classes, quite stringent
Mostly 2 common times, one is in morning nearby 8.50 AM to 9.50 AM and in evening nearby 3.50 PM to 5.00 PM, the rush is like horses and buffaloes! There is so much over crowded & most of the crowd occurs by the Autos, but no one do anything for that

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i have opted the course B.Pharmacy! I rate the course as optimal, neither too bad nor too good, its medium! Now comes on teaching method, some teachers are really well and good and few are those who does not teaches but only writing writing, thats it, they will not explain at all! And one thing they should change is that All Courses except B.Pharmacy in Chandigarh University have the criteria to pass the student even below the 40% only or the half of the highest number scored by the topper in the class, and for Bpharmacy its minimum requirement to pass the exam is 50%, Oh My God! This needs to be changed, Now every year, in Bpharmacy, the overall 80% students are getting Compartments (Back/Fail) in the subjects, but the University is not understanding it all. So this should be changed as earlier!

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

The most famous companies like wipro and accenture recruit students from our college and get a package of 2-3 lakhs per year. I saw many students get recruited and get a better package and also live their happy work life
