Indraprashta college for women is one of the oldest college of DU which offer Under graduation and post graduation course to women. My course is B. A in music there are many societies related to my course like western music society, Indian music society, career development cell. many powerful women like Meira kumar, Asha Pande are alumni of this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our course is mostly practical. Teachers are very frankly and their lectures are very helpful to gain knowledge about the subject. department society and ECA society are very active. scholar ship is provided as per university rules. There are many equipments for hand on training to students. college does not vote in DU election.

Class Size: 42Course Fees: INR 24000 per year

Placement Experience

Placement are endless if one have talent and will to do. There is a placement cell known as Job Entrepreneur ship Excellence Talent (J.E.E.T) which help in providing internship and placements. average package of college is 5 lac.

College Events

Events in college are Annual debating tournament vivaad which is organised by English debating society, Annual theatre fest 'Kirdaar' organised by dramatic society. sports facilities like gymnasium, basketball, tennis court, squash court, swimming pool are available in the campus.

Campus Life

In IPCW wifi facility is, air condition facility is not provided to students it is only for staff. nearest metro station is civil line. campus surrounding is good. There are many clubs and societies. Aloop-Indian music society, La cadenza- western society, croydon-fine art society, Jeet the career and guidance cell. annual festival shruti is celebrated every year.

Hostel Facilities

There arw two hostels one inside the campus other one is around 50 metre away from college. food provided in mess is tasty. hostel rooms are 2 and 3 seater. In hostel room all needy thing are available.

Placement Experience:

The placement was not too good it was bad the main reason was like it have not in better place if student want to grab an offer he do offcampus apply so they get job .The companies visted our collage was tcs ,infosys , wipro and sometime Amazon. The highest pacakge was offers in 2020 for almost like 30LPA after that non of them get that much placement .In simple wprd you are the reason of your too get placed in companies . In our collage not fang companies offerd placement.

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.

Overall college experience at IPCW

I applied through cuet only. Indraprastha College was my second preference after lady shree ram college. The department is one of the bests on Delhi university and I m quite content with the faculty here (except a few teachers). I chose this College because i searched through various websites and specially the psychology department of this college was rated good, so that's why. a good experience

The admission process for this and any other DU college is fairly simple which is to sit for the CUET examination which is an objective based paper and also to make a decent preference list to get into the desired college and course. My decision to choose Indraprastha college for women was because it provided my desired course and my marks aligned with it. I also applied to other DU colleges but am satisfied with my current position as it provides a well-structured academic base and gathers a much more decent crowd than any other DU college.
