Remarks

It has a good reputation and it also gets under the top 10's list of many great achievements. Admission is done through entrance exam JEE Main and different cut-offs for different branches are there. This college is great for getting placements and experiencing good college life. I reviewed many colleges and then decided to take admission in DTU because I thought it'll help me in my growth and skills.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The Electrical department is famous for this college with the mechanical department. The faculties are a bit strict, but it is good for the growth of students in this department. Every class has approximately 60 students and there are 3-4 different batches for the same subject. In the first year, the M.Tech. Aspirants teach the students common subjects. Then from 2nd year, PhD scholars and professors teach the core subjects. The end term exams are after 4-5 months with midterm exams in between. The passing is easier if someone studies.

Internships Opportunities

3

Many big companies like Google, Uber, Amazon give on-campus opportunities. They mostly take students from the coding side and there are some big companies who give 0 cuts off and all branches criteria. Almost all companies are stipend based and stipends are also quite big amounts. The college also provides off-campus opportunities for the students not getting on-campus internships.

Placement Experience

3.5

The students get on-campus Internships as they enter the third year. The placements start from 4th year starting and go on until the semester end. There are many big companies like Google, Amazon, Microsoft that recruit students for placements. The highest package is 1 crore plus internationally. The average package is about 30 lacs as per my knowledge. Most students from CS, IT, SE get placements and many students from core branches also get placement in coding as well as core companies. After the degree, I would look for on-campus placements, if not then I'll go for off-campus placement or studying a little further to get higher opportunities.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for this college are high since it is a govt. college. There is a hike in fees every year for the admitted students. And as well as for the new students, the price keeps increasing. The tuition is fees are high as compared to what and how they teach. I am not much at the positive side with the fee structure of this college. The scholarships are provided, but to students only with the highest grades and lowest incomes.

Campus Life

4

There are three main fests which are tech fest, literary fest, and the cultural fest. And the cultural fest, Engifest is quite famous among Delhites. It is one of the biggest fests in North India. About the library, there is a lack of main books which are required for the course. You won't found the books for a course if you go to the library the next day of its opening. Otherwise, there are lot of books in the library. There is a sports subject in the first and second year, and you can head out to ground at any time to play anything you want, be sure to take the equipment. They don't provide it. And there are so many clubs and teams you can join if you have an interest. There is a lot to do to get most out of yourself beside the studying part.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
