I chose this college because of its good campus placement facility. The number of well-known companies comes to recruit each year. Almost 80% of a student gets recruited into various companies each year. The institution also conducts many workshops and seminars both in online and offline mode. Admission to this college can be taken through entrance exam (WBJEE, JEE Mains), generally in the month of July. Overall it's a good college but as it is a private college it might not be affordable by all.
I chose this subject because I wanted to do research-oriented work on genes/genomics in the near future. There are nearly 19-20 teachers in the biotech department. Every professor has proper qualification for their respective subjects. The professors are student-friendly and keen on helping out students facing problem in learning. The term exams take place once every 6 months. 2 class tests also occur in this duration for internal assessment. The exams are quite easy to pass.
The placements are quite good. Companies like Tata Consultancies, etc come for on-campus Companies like TCS, Cognizant, Capgemini, DXC Technology provides a satisfactory package here. Average package is around 3-4 LPA. There are many internship opportunities. Almost 80% of students get placed in each year after completing the 4-year BTech course. After getting my degree I would like to do higher studies to get into research-oriented fields.
Since it is a private college, the fee is a bit high. The total 4-year course requires almost 4 lac rupees with additional fees for the library, exam etc. For scholarship, one can visit the college website to know more about these facilities.
Campus life has been really good so far. A lot of extracurricular activities are being conducted by the institution. There are many clubs like drama, poetry, NSS etc. where one can signup as per their interest. The college library is huge and we'll maintain lots of options. The annual fest that takes place in this institution is known as Heritage Utsav, it generally occurs in the month of April. It includes a lot of events like sports, drama competition, live concert shows etc. Many colleges take part in this fest.
Campus placement is conducted. It starts in the 3rd year. As of now, I am a second-year student. I know that the placements are from different reputed companies like TCS, WIPRO, COGNIZANT, etc.
The student becomes eligible for campus placement in the 7th semester. Many companies with campus-like Microsoft, IBM, Infosys, TCS, cognizant, PWC, CGI, CAPGEMINI, etc Some students get it around 3.5 to 4 LPA, and some get placed around 20 LPA. Most get around the 3-8 LPA range. The percentage of students getting placement varies from department to department.
From the end of the third year, students are eligible for Campus placements. Popular Tech giants like TCS,Capgemini, Accenture, Genpact, etc companies are visited and approximately all students are got an offer. The highest Package is around 10 LPA and average packages are likely 4-6 LPA. From my department, around 80% of students got placement in many MNC. My plan is to get a good LPA job on campus after that to prepare myself for Govt engineering exam.
Placement support starts from the 6th SEM. There's a body named Career development Cell and we have a superset account. Some pharmaceutical companies come here. Package varies from 2,40,000 to 4,80,000 per annum although the number of positions offered is very low. The percentage of students getting placement in Pharmaceutical companies will be around 20 to 30%. The overall percentage might vary from 50 to 70% but I know most are offered 5000 rupees per month. So don't believe the advertisement. My plan is to higher study. Mainly MS in USA and UK.
I gave joint entrance exam,,got rank,,by showing this rank a counciling process was held.In that process the name of my college was came to get admission.I show my rank card and the final coucilling report to the college admission cell and took my admission
Pros: The climate is very awesome of campus. A good library to study during off classes. A good playground for cricket and football Cons: The faculties are not so experienced. They don't have teaching experience.
My remarks comprises of both positive and negative remarks regarding Techno International Batanagar. The college has a good campus and infrastructure and spacious classrooms and lots of space to walk around. But it has a poor placement record.
Management is good and strict. Tpo ( training and placement office) is doing great and wish luck for their success . college is very good on the basis of strictness, security, studies. faculties are good ,responsible and friendly.
I gave GATE exam for admission in jadavpur university.I got 98 percentile in gate exam. It was the best university for master degree.
