Good thing is that it has fully flexible credit system so you can choose your faculty Your course and your venue. Bad things that when you change you have to move from one building to another within less than 10 minutes of time which is very difficult.
Course Curriculum Overview
Vellore institute of technology follow FFCS - Fully flexible Credit System. Where you have to select which courses you have to do next semester and you have to prepare your own Timetable for next semester based course allocation report and Circulum through Vit course registration portel. Because of FFCS I can able to decide what courses to take when to take and under whom I should complete the course. It thoroughly helped me to deal with my own dicision.
Placement Experience
Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Philips, Nokia, Cisco are some of the companies that visited for placement drives. Mostly placement drive consists of 2-3 stages. 1st stage - written, 2nd stage - programming exam, 3rd stage - interview. Yeah, we had PAT office which takes care of all placement related training/issues.
College Events
We have Gravitas and Riviera that are the two events conducted in Vellore institute of technology every year in fall semester. Gravitas is the technical fest where seminars hackathons,workshops and other technical events are conducted. Riviera is the cultural fest of vellore institute of technology conducted every year in winter semester. Which has many big events like IKEA, Mr VIT, sahiti, proshows, and many more food stalls.
Fee Structure And Facilities
College provide transparency in fee breakdown it's a little bit expensive if you get the seat in last category of the councilling. Vellore institute of technology accept all kind of payments debit card credit card net banking and paytm. It has three wonders to provide all this kind of payments like Razopay etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, college offers opportunities to students it celebrates 42 students from Tamil Nadu who ever got good marks in 12th class they will be given scholarship in VIT University not only that students can also avail loan from Bank.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, I say the hostel and hostel it may cost different for the accommodating you choose where it provides 1 bed, 2 bed, 3bed, 4bed, 6bed air conditioned and non air conditioned rooms for students and it has many hostel blocks VIT college gives over ranking fore hostel counselling, based on hostel rank you will get the appropriate room. You can also choose your friends as roommates if they have sufficient hostel rank and comes under same category.
Alumni/Alumna
Aluminium network special portal to connect all students. Senior students are very very helpful while registering courses they help us with their experience in the registration which is very useful for juniors without that it will be very difficult for course registration and in clubs and chapters seniors will help you how to interact with other clubs and chapters to joint organise events, hackathons seminar etc not only that but the experience also helpful in placements which is a very crucial thing in engineering life.
Admission
Based on my 12th class marks I applied for M.Tech integrated software course. Then they will give you a rank based on 12th class marks. Later there will be give the time slot to attend the counselling based on the rank. Then we have to select the venue to attend the counselling.
Faculty
I think 1:17 is the faculty student ratio of my college. Average age : 30-45 Min qualification is PhD Hierarchy: based on the experience Jr Asst. Associate professor Sr Asst. Associate professor Associate professor Professor Hod Dean. Clarity purely depends on faculty. Yeah, we had guest lecturer in last module of every course where industry experts or professor's from another University's explain about the industry experience.
