Remarks

LPU (LOVELY PROFESSIONAL UNIVERSITY) also known as the mini city in Jalandhar, Punjab. In this institute, you feel an aura of exposure and you will get lots of knowledge with fun. In this institute, there are 250 societies, an indoor stadium, basketball, volleyball and badminton court. There is also a cricket stadium. In an indoor stadium, you are going to find a beautiful and Olympic size swimming pool. Also, there are 5 gyms on this campus. ADMISSION PROCESS:- 1. You will get a direct entry if you scored 90% marks on the 12th board. 2. There is an exam conducted by LPU that is LPUNEST of 270 marks and through this exam, you will get a scholarship which reduces your fee cost. HOSTEL & MESS:- 1. There are different types of hostel: @ dormantry(8 to 12 student stay in a room) [not recommended ] @ 4 seater room (4 student stay in a room) [can be a choice] @ 3 seater room (3 student stay in a room ) [recommended] @ 1&2 seater room (1&2 student stay in a room) and a standarized mess.

B.tech CSE branch has got the highest placement of 42 lakh. Also through credit transfer programm you will study in foreign and you will get an opportunity to get into product based company on the package of 1 crore. One of the students grab this opportunity and get placed in google. The faculty is very helpful and cooperative. Exams are not so much difficult just an intermediate level. You will get a pass on the exam if you follow the lectures and notes of the faculty. Although if you refer books you will get a highest marks even you can be the topper.

From the 3rd year and 5th semester, you are eligible to get placed in the product based companies. Also, there is a girl get placed on the package of 42 lakh. And many opportunities also there like you can go to a startup that is taught by LPU.

Fees and Financial Aid

In LPU you will get scholarships from 20% to 50% also after getting scholarships you will found a reduced in your fee. So do not waste time get this opportunity and get into this college. The fee cost is 98000 / semester but after getting scholarships it will reduce at its lower cost.

Campus Life

Life is really good. As I have earlier told that there are 250 societies and lots of co-curricular activity is going on in the LPU. Also, you will find NCC, NSS, and other organisation in which you can enrol yourself and make your future bright.

Hostel Facilities

There are a variety of hostels in the LPU and if you want to live in an apartment so you can prefer that one also but only get the apartment if you do not have a financial crunch because apartment cost is so high in LPU. Moreover, you will get a dormitory, 4 seaters, 3 seaters, 2 seaters and 1 seater room. Ac or non-ac is preferable to you. Also, the mess facility is good and the food court is also available. And the standardised mess is good for you.

Likes

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Dislikes

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

LPU's REVIEW WITH HONESTY AND CREDIBILITY

Likes

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

Inside NITJ- Beyond the Brochure

Likes

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Likes

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

Placement Experience:

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

Big campus and beautiful garden and environment
Aqi was soo good because plants and tree was so much

Mess food was bad but it doesn't taste that bad
If we Complaint about anything college mostly ignore it

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Likes

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

Dislikes

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
