Detailed Review of Lovely Professional University from a Student perspective

There's a huge diversity in the college. There are students from all the 29 states and foreign as well. We get to know a lot about the culture of various states other than the studies. The campus is huge there are facilities for almost everything that you can expect in a college. Now coming to the shortcomings there's a hectic schedule for Engineering courses with less holidays and some hard rules and restrictions for girls in case they want to go home. Sometimes few students struggle with the mess food since it's totally veg inside the campus but you can find nonveg outside the campus. Overall Lpu is a college that I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to visit and learn a lot of other things other than their courses and studies. There are various shows and events which let you know more about the World and out country.

I've heard a lot about the CSE course at LPU. It's one of the best departments in Lpu if not the best. The faculty is helpful and so are the seniors. There are timely exams but sometimes it's hard for us since they don't give us many holidays. The faculty: student ratio is almost 1:40 which is not bad considering the vast number of students in the college. Exams are timely and it's easy to pass ofcourse considering you have to work hard for it as well.

Cognizant, TCS, Wipro, and many others are there who provide internships to Lpu students. There are summer training, full-term optional/compulsory internship and also On Job Training, study tour, and skill enhancement events and workshops are extensively integrated into LPU

From the 3rd year students are eligible for the placement, you may also get an internship from a company. There are almost 150+ companies that hire students from LPU with an average of 4lpa. Almost 90% of students get easily placed in Lpu by the end of the 4th year thanks to their specialized placement courses. I'm planning to get a good job in one of the best software companies after getting my degree

Based on the marks in your Lpunest the fee structure will be given to you. They provide scholarships of 30%, 40%, and 50% over the Btech fees of 90000 per semister. It will cost around 9 Lakh for the whole Btech course with a 40% scholarship

This is possibly the best part in LPU. The campus life is worth a mention. There are shows, live events, coke studios, and concerts from various artists around the country. There are a lot of in campus parks where you can chill with your friends, take a break, and spend some time. The campus is clean with dustbins on every corner and there are always people who are cleaning the streets, also the security is tight so there's complete privacy and the campus is totally an anti-raging one. So no worries regarding that

The Hostels are 9 floors each. There are 6 Hostels for Boys and 4 for girls naming BH and GH respectively. We can opt for 1 seat, 2 seaters, 3 seaters, 4 seaters, 5 seaters,s, and 8 seaters as well. Costs vary according to that. In my case, I've opted for the 4 seaters which most of the people prefer and I've to pay 55000 and 30000 for the meal. Coming to the meal point it's a veg meal and the quality is average depends on the taste of someone whether you are comfortable with North Indian. But there are also options for South Indian meals as well. There's lift inside each and every hostel which doesn't work most of the time!

I haven't faced a GD to get admission but there are options for that too. I've gone through the Merit-Based Entrance exam with topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and English. There were 30 questions from PCM and 20 questions for English.
