Remarks

very good exposure, good infrastucture Admission process: LPU nest or Board exam score reason to choose lpu is it has very good record in placements and also I can improve my communication skills beacuse of distance education. lpu.in

Course Curriculum Overview

I have keen interest in CSE so I took cse Faculty in lpu was quite excellent All the faculty teaching me are the graduates in P.H.D term exams will be held twice in a year and each term is of 4-5 months , difficulty of exam paper will be depend upon student preparation.

Class Size: 114Course Fees: INR 129120 per year

Internships Opportunities

As i am a 1st yr student i don't have much idea about internships. But one my senior told me that LPU provides very good internships for all the streams especially for Btech stream and also for MBA .......!

Placement Experience

The placements are very good in LPU but many of the people say LPU has no good placements , it is absolutely wrong , lpu provides very huge opportunities but the main thing is we need to perform well in that.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure vary from each stream to each stream Scholarship can avail based on LPUNEST or Via Board exams This year max. scholarship for CSE is 40% And for ECE max. scholarship is of 50% To get max scholarship based on BORAD marks you should get above 90%

Campus Life

In LPU their are so many students clubs these will try to extract our hidden talent and their will be lots of fest will happens in lpu every month One of the India's largest library is present in LPU you can get empelnumber books over there

Hostel Facilities

Hostel fee will depends on which type of accommodation we choose , 60k for 4 persons in a room with cooler but not with AC if you want AC then price will vary and mess fee's is separate the mess fee also vary for me it's around 32k

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Interview Experience

their is nothing like GD or interview . one can directly get admission without LPUNEST also but if you join without LPUNEST you will not get scholarship based on lpu nest. If you are preparing for LPUNEST then just go through your 12th text books it's more than enough

my overall experience at the college has been good so far
the faculty members are generally helpful
campus life is active with various cultural and technologies events

Dislikes

one thing i feel can be improved is the amount of pratical and industry oriented learning
some claases can be more theroy oriented so more hands on activities and pratical sessions would be beneficial
during major events and peak hours the campus become crowded

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course curriculum is realvent and fairly comprehensive i choose computer science engineering because it covers importnt ares such as programming data structures data base software development and emerging technologies

Supportive faculty and a good learning environment.
Variety of activities and opportunities for overall development.

Dislikes

Some administrative processes can take more time than expected.
The campus can be crowded during peak hours.
Hostel and mess facilities could be improved further.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical concepts and practical skills relevant to the course. It provides a good foundation for real-world applications and further studies. Exams are conducted regularly and are generally manageable with proper preparation. The curriculum could be improved by adding more practical projects, industry exposure and updated topics.

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
