Remarks

The good aspects of Lovely Professional University are their placement, campus, faculty members and other activities too. I am pursuing my Computer Science (Hons). Currently, I'm in the 4th semester. Now, let's talk about the admission process & dates:- Firstly, you have to do register for the LPUNEST entrance exam. Based on LPUNEST marks, he'll provide you with a scholarship or he'll also provide a scholarship based on JEE marks, 10th and 12th marks. The admission portal open in April. I'll prefer LPU because of the placement and campus facilities.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I choose CSE (Hons.) because many product based company visited here for placement. The faculty-student ratio is 1:10. Many of the facilities are PhD and Dr and really his teaching method is very well but some of the faculty are not so good. LPU conduct two types of exams - MTE and ETE. The weightage of MTE is 20% and ETE is 50%. 5% for attendance and 25% for CA. The facilities take 4 or 3 CA in every subject. And the best out of two is considered here. If you study 2-3 hrs, then you can easily pass the term exams.

Internships Opportunities

3

Many companies provide internship like Viniculum, Infoobjects, Whatfix, Reliance retail etc. But first, you have to be more capable to grab the internship opportunity. You can work on your projects to get selected in the company as an intern.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement of computer science and MBA in LPU is quite good w.r.t. To other branches. I think when the students are in the 7th semester, they can apply for a full-time internship in any company. The company visited in LPU is Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys, TCS, etc. I want to become a web developer in a start-up company.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for CSE in LPU is 120000 per semester and if you choose Hons. Then you have to pay 20000 extra per semester. But he will provide more scholarship to every student on the basis of LPUNEST marks, 10th, 12th and JEE marks. If you take admission in 1st phase then most probably chances that you will get a 40% or 50% scholarship.

Campus Life

4.5

LPU campus is best according to other private colleges. More and more celebrities come to LPU. There are 3or 4 libraries in LPU. Almost, all the books are present in the LPU library. One more thing, you will also get a scholarship on the basis of sports and extracurricular activities. Many fests are conducted from time to time. There are many clubs are present here which helps to boost your knowledge.

Hostel Facilities

4

In the hostel, he will provide you cooler, cupboard, fan, bed, and all other stuff. You also have the option of an AC room. The cost of ac room is quite high in terms of a cooler room. You have to pay 30000 per year extra for your meal. Then, he will provide you with 3 times meal in a day and in the evening, he will provide you with tea, samosa, biscuits etc. You can register for your hostel and meal at the time of admission. If you don't want to live in the hostel, then you can live in law gate, Phagwara. The rent of an auto-rickshaw from here to LPU is rs 10.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
