Remarks

Good Aspects: Diversity, Good Placements record, vast and beautiful university, Good at extracurricular activities, Huge Library. Bad Aspects: Most of the faculty were assistant professors, some of them were studying PhD and teaching other courses at the same time. Admission Process: Register for university through the official website, You'll get calls guiding about fees, admission process requirements and all, after reaching university visit Admissions block and verify all the documents and generate ID Card, might take a day or two. Reason for preferring LPU: Researched a bit and got to know about the diversity, culture, placement records, facilities and Campus. Got to know the details from LPU's official page, CollegeDunia, Quora and LPU's Insta page

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I took Computer Science Engineering as I liked computers and programming languages and I always wanted to be an engineer. Talking about faculty: student ratio it's like 1 facility for 60 students class but a faculty might be assigned to multiple classes as there would be like 3 lectures on a subject in a week. Qualification of faculty is Master's but most facilities don't have much teaching experience, That's why most of them are termed as Assistant professors. The teaching method is dependent on faculty to faculty, Some of the faculties follow the naive ppt method, whereas some of them come prepared and teach on the board with all the minute necessary details.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are many companies that come to hire students as interns and also retain them as full time employees if they perform well. Stipends vary from 10k per month to 30k per month. Projects of the companies are the real world products which they have to work with.

Placement Experience

4

Students are eligible for placements after the 5th semester. Companies like TiVo, Cognizant, Capgemini, GSlab and I would say about 200 more visits here and make offers. TiVo offered 14LPA and like 10 to 15 companies make that offer. There are 2-3 companies that do offer above 20 LPA. Cognizant, Capgemini is mass recruiters so they offer 3.5 to 6 LPA. And there are many startups that offer 7 LPA. I would say nearly 70% of the students who opt for placements are placed. My plans are to grow in the company that I'm placed in or if I get a better opportunity I'm open to grabbing it.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly there might be fees hike on Hostel and mess fees as they're not fixed but the programme course fee would remain same as discussed, also there's an exam fee of 2000 every semester, And if you want to opt for placements, you'll have to pay 10000 or more (as they'll inform) in the 5th semester. I got like 50% scholarship on the basis of my 12th marks, students here also get scholarship on sports quota and more. I have got till the last round of some companies with 14LPA package but due to my negligence I didn't get placed there, but I'll say I've got enough opportunities with 7.5 LPA (as I was a student of product based batch) but I haven't utilized them and finally got placed at a stipend of 15k per month then 4.5per annum job.

Campus Life

4.5

There are many fests here in LPU, it's like we can find different fests every couple of months, Some of the fests are One India and One World, Youthvibe, spectra and a lot more. There's a good library and you'll find all types of books here, but the only concern is the availability as there are a lot many students and the number of copies are limited. There is a big Indoor stadium with an Olympic size swimming pool, gym, shuttle, table tennis and all, Also there are some big grounds for football, cricket, tennis, volleyball, court for basketball. There are many clubs and groups run by students some of which I have been a part of is the student entrepreneurship club, Storm organization, Howard Smiles, Dracon. And the campus is full of extracurricular from music to sports and theatre.

Hostel Facilities

4

In a non-ac room, we have A cooler, Fans, beds, tables, chairs and geysers in the attached bathroom. In the Ac room, just the cooler is replaced with an Air Conditioner. Well, I would quote mess quality as above average, All types of foods are available but just the taste might not be as it's in the home. So menu Awesome but food's average. Also, there are so many food stalls which you can opt for if you don't like the mess food in your first semester, I have retained my mess till corona made me make my home as the hostel. Registration of hostel is simple, it's through a website named UMS by lpu, they'll guide the process in admissions block and there would be an announcement in their app every year before hostel bookings. Some, My friends, have booked PG outside the campus near the law gate.

Interview Experience

2.5

Well, there was not any round for admissions, but there's an optional exam named LPU nest for scholarships which I didn't give. The admission process is simple, it's like anyone with above 60% of 10th and 12th scores can get admission here, also I guess there might be a way for the admissions of students who have got less in their 10 and 12th too.

Other Applied Colleges

Bharath University | Computer Science Engineering

Heard negitive feedbacks

Parul University | Computer Science Engineering

Scholarship was for 1 year only, Also after comparing with LPU, I thought LPU Was right university for me.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
