Remarks

After going through different blogs and ratings about the colleges, I finally read an answer to a question on Quora then I got to know that this particular university has a very good point in its placement cell. To confirm this I had gone through a lot of ratings posted on Collegedunia , at last i was sure that if I get enrolled to this university and maintain a good CGPA, my placement in a good company is sure. Although the present condition of the ongoing pandemic "Covid-19" the University and its management were prepared enough to conduct an online class without any disturbance and hindrance, all is needed is a good internet connection from our side. Even then practicals are going on online with some simulation softwares. The only thing is that due to high number of students in the university the replies to the queries are a bit slow (24 hours average) but they never fail to reply they always make sure everyone gets their queries solved.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course I choose was my only aim to study when I grow up(i.e B.Tech CSE) but the best thing is that particularly this course in the university is ranked in one of the best course with teaching faculty and facilities and the best one to grab high placements on campus. The student to faculty ratio is generally more weighted on the students side but they made sure that every student is assigned to a mentor for them to be academically more stronger or to speak about any problem faced by the student. Then minimum qualification of any teaching faculty that had taught me until now is Phd in any of the IITs. The exams were well timed as an announcement was always aired on the university app about 10days before exam schedule dates and all the study materials were also provided after every lecture by every teacher and the University also makes sure that it is paperless so their is also an app containing all the class notes to study for the exam.

Internships Opportunities

5

Both on campus and company internships are available for the students to get into. Many companies from different sectors helps students to get an internships and if the students performs well then after their degree they gets recruited by the same company as a placement.

Placement Experience

5

Although I'm a 1st-year student I heard all about the high placements offered to the students or grabbed by them both on-campus and off-campus. The students are generally able to apply for the placements after 3rd year for B.Tech students. Every year 500+ companies visit campus for recruitments and thanks to the T&P management team, its gradually increasing every year. The highest package offered last year was 42L. Due to a large student quantity, it is generally a bit hard to grab a high placement but if you are able to manage being in the top 10 student of your section then a high placement is waiting for you.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am myself belong to a middle-class family but was able to get into this university without any financial hindrance because of the low academic fees, different scholarships, and quotas. My scholarship was based upon the marks of class 10th and different admission phases give different percentages of scholarships to the qualified students. A student with a high rank in LPUNEST, a high percentage in 12th, sports quota, etc can get high scholarships. Now a new scholarship has been introduced i.e based upon the present pandemic condition of Covid -19. There are also many part-time jobs that are offered by different sectors inside the university to change your pass time to earn time and get the financial weight a bit lighter.

Campus Life

5

Even though due to the present condition of Covid -19 and I couldn't visit college the teacher conducted some refreshing sessions for the students to know about each other. Even the seniors tried to conduct online freshers for the new students. After this, I'm sure that the environment inside the campus is very friendly and energetic. The total campus size is of 700acres with more than 30k students and the infrastructure is really the best of best. There are many social groups and clubs run by students, even the university has its own messaging app for the person of the university to contact, call, chat, and video call and another person of the university.

Hostel Facilities

5

Due to the pandemic, I couldn't reside in hostels in my 1st year but I booked my hostel room and other facilities like gym, etc. Their many categories of hostel rooms and also for dormitory and apartments. Apart from that, there are also a high number of rooms outside the campus for PG with low rents. But I would advise hostel over PG for the students as it is more enjoyable and with low maintain loads. The food offered by the campus is also said to be the best as they provide a large variety of dishes from North Indian to South and western. Also, there are a large variety of stalls found inside the campus for any kind of light food or junk. The university strictly follows veg food. But the students can have non-veg just outside the main gate at a low cost too.

Interview Experience

5

There was no interview or group discussions for the student to get admission to LPU but an Entrance test was conducted for those who scored lower than 90%in their 12th exam that had to be registered by the student on the admit.lpu.in the official LPU website and the token for test Application ID and everything will be sent to you as an email. After the test gets cleared (can be registered for more if not clear) the students are asked for virtual reporting and online induction. After that, the students just need to upload their documents there (Support team and helpline number can be found on the website) and after some days they will receive the email containing the information about their 1st class and how to attend it and from where.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
