Remarks
Good aspects: Organized classes on the CodeTantra platform, with attendance according to the duration for which the class is attended. Dedicated chatting app to stay connected with faculty, and students. Every important information, and stuff like assignment submission etc on a clean website. Some teachers are really good, and helpful. In the times of corona, the online system is excellent. Really affordable, considering other colleges in India. Bad aspects: Most teachers are boring, and don't catch the attention of students. Most students are not so hard-working, and dull, so there's little competition and that could be a disadvantage if you want to improve.
Course Curriculum Overview
I always wanted to become a Software Engineer, and want to study artificial intelligence further, so I chose this course. There are around 100 students in my section, so in many classes, the ratio is around 100:1, but in many courses like CSE and personality development, the batches are bifurcated, and the ratio gets to 50:1. The faculties aren't actually so well qualified, many of them even being Ex-LPU students. The teaching method online is mostly boring, but a few faculties like those from cse and personality development are really good and interesting. The exams were taken online and were very timely and organized. The exams were of normal difficulty level, not so hard, but also not very easy.
Placement Experience
According to the seniors, students at Lovely Professional University are eligible for placement in the 3rd year, in the 6th semester. There are many companies like adobe, Infosys, TCS, etc which regularly visit the campus. The usual pay scale is on an average 5 lakhs per month, but I can reach up to 15 lakhs if you're brilliant, and sometimes reaching in the 30s. I'm planning to do a specialization in Artificial Intelligence after my degree, rather than going for a job directly.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are to be paid 2 times a year, i.e semester-wise. The fees are really affordable, considering other colleges, especially when you get a scholarship. They provide scholarship based on JEE, Boards, and their own exam, LPU-Nest. The more the score, the more the scholarship, reaching up to 90%. I got a 35% scholarship considering my JEE Mains percentile, which was above 90, so my fees are around 75000 per semester, for now. I don't know about the campus jobs etc, as I've only attended online as of now.
Campus Life
I don't know about life on the campus, because I have never been there, as of now. I've only attended the classes online. But in online mode too, they have organized competitions such as singing (classical, western), dancing (classical, western), quiz etc, and that's really good.
