Remarks

The infrastructure of this university and the faculty of the university are top notch in this college they prefer high qualified lecturers. The way of teaching is in a structured way. The admission process takes almost a day which is a bit lengthy and you have to report to the university before a week which will be helpful to you to get adapt to the atmosphere there. The two main reasons to join the college are infrastructure and placements they offer to students they are some phenomenal numbers. There is an official website where one can find many details on that website.

Course Curriculum Overview

In electronics and communication engineering there will be the benefit of learning both core electronics and also the coding part which is partial but we can get the basic knowledge. If our interest shifts towards the latter part of the coding that will not be a major task to pursue a career in computer science. The quality of teaching is good. The evaluation is a bit tough there are few internal exams and one mid and end term exams.

Internships Opportunities

There are many companies that offer internships in our college big MNC's like Capgemini, Cognizant, TCS, L&T and many more offer paid internships. There are final year projects and few mini projects in each semester.

Placement Experience

From the 6th semester, students will be eligible for campus placements. Companies like BOSCH, CAPGEMINI, COGNIZANT, HCL, TCS around 50 more companies visited and offers made restricted to placement department of the college and will be revealed at the time of academic session begins. The average package is Rs.3 lacs highest package is S.30 lacs. profiles offered are app developer, software developer, data analyst, web designer.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many modes for scholarships like we can get it by the exam which is conducted by the university named lpu nest and one can also join by their 12th score the scholarships varies from 80 percent to 20 percent scholarship which is very useful for a student who can't afford high fees and placements with stipends are also offered.

Campus Life

There are popular fests like coke studio events and many more. There are a vast number of books in the library. There are a large ground and an Olympic size swimming pool and for all indoor games, there is a huge indoor stadium. There are many student organised clubs

Hostel Facilities

I have opted for 4 members sharing a room that has an attached bathroom. I opted for the mess. The registration process is completely user friendly. In mess, we will be provided with 3 meals a day. Morning breakfast and lunch, evening snacks with tea and delicious dinner. there will be different types of cuisines like south Indian and north Indian.

Hostel Fee: INR 55000 per year

Interview Experience

Yes, I did face interviews and group discussions. The test pattern is we have to clear the online test and next there would be group discussion or any coding round then later one has to face a technical interview and next to an hr interview will be conducted. There will be a placement enhancement program that will be useful for placements.

Likes

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Dislikes

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Likes

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
