Lpu from inside

I chose this college because of its good study environment and opportunities that i may get here. I talked to my seniors studying here beforehand just to be sure if i was making the right decision.I applied online for lpu nest and when i got the call letter i joined. I had in mind to go for srm chennai but due to its location i preferred lpu.

I have always wanted to pursue b.tech cse , science facinates me and as the technology is evolving no one wants to be left out. The student faculty ratio is around 50:1, which is sufficient. Faculties are of all sort like there are phd holders double MA etc.. examination system is very through and are held timely . Most of the paper are mcq .

Internship opportunities is for everyone and anyone and most of the student benefit from this . Trust me not everyone gets to work with amazon or Microsoft for internship and this is where getting one from college helps alot.

Placements are good but don't expect 1cr placements. That's doesn't happen anywhere. If you study hard you might land a job in decent company and then you might have 30lkh . But if you waste your time you would be good for nothing. Most students (avg ones) get 12-15 lpa packages top ones get 20-30lpa . So consistency is everything if you study properly. Coding from first sem is must if you are in cse anywhere. I will be preparing for civil examination so no worries for placement now.

You spend nearly 2Lpa excluding residential facilities. I would suggest you to stay outside the campus if you want to save some money. You get scholarship based on how you perform in lpu nest or jee mains or if you have any achievement in sports . But the certificate has to be within last two years. State or national certificate is required to be specific here.

One thing is good about lpu is that it's not lacking in tech fest or cultural activities. We had one India, youth vibe and weekend programs keep on happening . The library is really good offering range of books related to your curriculum to literature . Annual sports meet are held generally during march. There are different clubs and organizations functioning in campus such as aashray army , sml you can find them on Instagram too.

Hostel rooms are average i would say and mess quality is better than other universities that i know for sure. But still you should avoid it if you can , living in hostel has its benefits as you won't have to walk long distance to come campus(its very big campus ) when you wake up late you have high chance to attend class if you are staying inside. You can register for hostel online and there is no interchanging of rooms once you are alloted. You don't get full refund if you opt out in future(15%-30% of hostel fee is taken).You can stay outside where you will have to spend 7k monthly and that depends how well you manage your spending.
