Entrance Preview
I gave AIEEE exam. Scored 46 marks. Was going for dronacharya college then someone suggest me GCE, and oh boy I opted for this.
Course Curriculum Overview
It was good in the 3rd and 4th year but before that it was a college to be. We bunked, did what ever we wanted to do no one said anything. We went for movies, theme parks etc and there was no issue regarding the internals and attendance. But in the 3rd and 4th year we got the best of teachers and we were blessed to have then.
Internships Opportunities
They tried to provide us the internship but we failed to attend it as we were not serious at that moment and thus we were not able to do that. But now life seems to be happening. I love the way they helped us, the teachers.
Placement Experience
There were a few companies that visited our college, mainly startups for computers and ECE. A few companies for mechanical also came by. But I myself got lateral placement instead of college placement. So i don't know much about the companies. Although a few friends of mine were placed by the college itself.
College Events
There were many cultural events as well. We had fests plus other cultural and technical events, were our talents were flourished. They were an important part of our college life and helped us to grow in Co curricular St. Although everything was good as far as these things were concerned but there was a problem that the college is in a remote location.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure was a bit on the expensive side. The fees was about 1.2 lacs per year which was very high as compared to other colleges. Also it was not worth to pay about 5 lac's for a bachelor course but still we were paying the expenses as we did not had any choice.
Fees and Financial Aid
Never heard of it and as per what I know there was no scholarships in gurgaon college of engineering. Although there might be a scholarship in other colleges which were adjacent such as gurgaon institute of technology and management. And others around.
Campus Life
There was no such campus life as there were students mainly from the nearby villages. The students hang out outside the college. They went for amusement parks, movies, theme parks and other nearby places. Those was the benefit of college nearing main cities like gurgaon and rewarI.
Hostel Facilities
I've gone to hostel rooms, tried mess food and the food and the living was on a brighter end. The rooms were clean and spacious they were able to accommodate 3 students easily. Though there were small rooms too for a group of two but they were sanatary and the food was good too.
Alumni/Alumna
In our time we got help from our seniors. They used to scare us about the difficult subjects and shared noted. We did the same with our juniors, so as far as CSE that is computer science students were concerned, we were helpful to our juniors as compared to any other branch.
Exam Structure
Exam structure over here is very simple. Gets you prepared for university exams as they are held twice and sometimes thrice before the final university exams. There pattern is also such that if you prepare for these exams alone, you'll feel prepared for university exams too. They cover up all the important questions as well.
Faculty
They were quite new to the subjects, but I guess that if one is new to the concepts he or she can make us understand better than anyone that is experienced. So as far as our education was concerned it was same as it is in colleges. If we have to score we have to do self study, most of the times.
