Remarks

This college has a great campus as well as great faculty. The faculty is always ready for help. The campus is very clean and the hostel is also very good. Mess food is also good. The gym facility is also available in the hostel. But the campus is not so big. Addmission process is very simple. You can easily apply for addmission online or by visiting the college. You must be 12th paas for taking addmission in this college. Students who have more than 75 percent marks in 12th get scholarships from a college in 1st semester. This college is very good at placements. You will get a great experience by studying here. I will say you that if you come here you will not disappoint. You can check updates and news from the cgc jhanjeri from their official website www.cgc.ac.in

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose this course because the placement is great for this course. The faculty is very good. The faculty is always ready for help. The faculty is very good nature wise. The faculty is very highly educated. Their method of teaching is very simple and effective. Exams are conducted by Punjab technical university. These are 2 mid-semester terms are held before final exams. If you can study seriously you can pass the exam very easily.

Placement Experience

3.5

You can say cgc jhanjeri a little sister of chandigarh University. Many seniors told that placements are good in this college. A maximum number of students got placements from there. The college give you approximately 7 LPA average pakage.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am doing btech in civil from this college. my fees for one semester is 45000. Fees are good by visiting the competition. But the negative point of this college is they ask for fees at the beginning of the new semester. They think we will run from there and not give their fees. They have a trust level in us that is zero. Senior told us that placements are good. Most people get placements.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is very great. I love the campus. They conduct many band parties in the college. The library is very big. You can easily get any books that you need. You will never disappoint by the library. The classrooms are excellent. Rooms are big and well ventilated. Desks are also good to present in the classroom. On the campus two big grounds are available. You can play any game there. A basketball group is also available. Grounds are filled with grass which makes them very beautiful and comfortable

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel life is the best life. Hostel rooms are big and well ventilated. 2 fans and one cooler are available in hostel rooms. One hostel room is available is for 4 students. There may be you face a little bit problem. But if you take a hostel then you definitely enjoy your hostel life. Mess food is also good. I do not say it excellent but it is good for everyone. You cannot take any negative points from it. Everyday you get different items in mess. But the timing of the mess is not very good. They close mess in the morning and in the night very early. I and my friends always miss the morning meal and at night they close mess very early which made us Hungry in the night.

Admission

You should be 12th paas

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
