Remarks
The college has a very good infrastructure. The whole campus is centrally air-conditioned. The library is amazing with a wide collection of books. The college has an amazing canteen with good and hygienic foods. It has a great sports arena with all type of indoor games. The college has its own auditorium for different functions and events.
Course Curriculum Overview
The quality of teachers and teaching materials are outstanding. The college has a very good teaching faculty. Almost all the teachers are well qualified and have good teaching experience. The internal exams conducted by the college were in proper time as instructed by the university. The quality of questions in the internal exams is a bit tough which makes the students well prepared to perform well in the external exams conducted by the University of Calcutta.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides both off-campus and on-campus internships. Companies like TCS, Byjus etc come for Hiring students for internships in the college. The stipend provided by the college for on-campus internships is around 100 rs per hour. The companies hire students for 5000 to 1000 for the internships.
Placement Experience
The college provides placements to almost 60% of the students in a year. Companies like TCS, Hdfc, Deloitte visit the campus every year. Students are selected based on their overall process. Students get placed with an average salary of around 20,000-30,000 per month.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost of study in this college is slightly high from other b.com colleges in Kolkata. There is a hike of fees of around 10% every year. There is a scholarship program for meritorious students. Students are honoured with scholarship by way of cheques, medals and certificates.
Campus Life
The college organises Umang which is one of the most famous annual fests in Kolkata. It's a four-day fest and the college invites celebrities like actor, singer bands etc from Bollywood and Tollywood. The college holds many other events in a year. The college has different social groups for many such events which occurs in a year.
Interview Experience
During our time, we had a personal interview. I was asked questions based on the basics of accounts and marketing based on our class 12 syllabus. Questions like golden entry, final account, journal and ledger were asked.
