An Insight of LPU campus and placements

As there were many private universities to choose from for BTECH but I selected this for many reasons. Firstly, this university is in Punjab which is in my home state, so it will be good for me to travel. Secondly, I was eligible for a 45% scholarship In the BTECH CSE course by getting a good score in LPUNEST. As if I see the full fee for this program in LPU which is not affordable and giving that amount for a private college was not worth it. Also, LPU has a good alumni network that helps to get good opportunities. The admission procedure in LPU is first to register for LPUNEST. If you get marks above 50% you will be eligible for all degree courses. And you will be awarded a scholarship according to that. Then submit your admission charges and required documents. All this process can be done online also. Before commencement of your classes, there will be induction which helps you a lot in learning university rules. The bad aspects which I see are like huge student crowd and fewer placements.

I choose Computer Science Engineering as It is one of the hot growing fields in the world and there are more opportunities also. Also, I have a great interest in Computers. Class size is like there are 50-60 average students per faculty. Many of the facilities are earlier students of LPU who get interned ad assistant professors after completion of their courses. Many facilities are very skilled and taught you very well and have good practical knowledge. But on average if I give from 10 I will give 6 marks to LPU Faculties. Also if you have any problem with faculty, you can do an RMS request to authorities to look upon the issue. The exam pattern is like MID terms and END terms with Assessments assigned in the semesters, which also get add up to the final marks. The importance of a particular subject in marks depends upon the credits it offers, according to it your Per semester GPA is calculated. The exams are not very difficult and revision of 15 days before the exam will help a lot.

Companies like Amazon, TCS, and other IT companies offer Software development and engineering roles at a decent internship stipend of 50k or above and if you performed exceptionally well you can get LOR and PPO offer also. Other companies also take MBA students for business roles. But to get a good package one should apply off-campus in product-based companies. LPU provides you various startup opportunities to students so that they can develop a business empire. Also, you can get the help of an alumni network to get good opportunities for jobs. Also if a student has a good product as a project, LPU can help you to make financial assistance and patent rights registrations.

Basically, you will get more placement opportunities for IT companies and they offer a decent package to students. Companies like Amazon and TCS also visit campus and take 5-10 students with an excellent package. But students must have good skills to get selected. The highest packages are offered by amazon on average 25 lakh. But you can get more good packages by applying off-campus placement drives. Other streams have very few placement opportunities as very few companies visit. So you must aim to get a good CGPA Of 8+ score so that you must be eligible to get eligible for every companies placement drive. If you have plans to go abroad for higher studies, you can avail this opportunity in LPU as many programs offer this service by going to partner universities of LPU in the respective country. So you must be aware of all the available opportunities on the campus to have a good carrier.

If you see the full fee of a degree course, it's very high and may go up to 1lakh per semester. So the cost of the study is very high and also there are some additional charges like Examination fee etc. There are scholarships available for students according to their LPUNEST score, 12th Board's merit rank, JEE main rank, etc. There are also scholarships on a sports basis if you have good awards in sports by authorized national authorities. This will help to get reduce your fee by a max of 50% also. The expenses for hostel apartments vary according to their specifications, but these are very high. Also, you can on-campus jobs in various societies, departments, Labs, Malls, and others as a sports tutor, etc. All the information about them can be found out on their website. There are also many other types of financial assistance which you can get by calling the desired authorities.

Some fests occurred in LPU ranging from events like ONE-INDIA, YOUTH VIBE, FANFESTS, and various other convocations that happened every month in LPU. Also, many celebrities came to the university for promotions. The Library in LPU is very large with a large number of books and journals. You can get every book on any topic in the library. The classes are well equipped with benches and AC's facility. Due to covid lockdown, I didn't get a chance to enjoy college life but I am telling all this because I have visited many times LPU for having campus visits. You will get many facilities for sports and guidance from tutors to get good skills. LPU. has many grounds, Basketball courts, a Swimming pool, and badminton courts. You will get everything you want and get gym access at an average fee of 2000 per semester. Talking about societies and clubs, you can get many opportunities to participate in cultural events and get good fame. All these clubs have their own websites.
