Remarks

I chose LPU because after analyzing a number of good colleges, I found LPU, Punjab to be a good choice as it had a good education, placements and most importantly it was providing scholarship. I saw it as a good fit for a middle-class person. Admission is quite straightforward, just go to the website choose the course, give LPUNEST (exam) or JEE MAINS score or 12th score or 10th score to get a scholarship. It requires you to pay 10k in advance and then further documents uploading. Scholarship (and of course good placement and education) was the reason I chose this college. All this information I fetched from many websites, including collegedunia. It came out to be authentic.

Course Curriculum Overview

I was interested in Computer Science and software, so I made the choice of the BTECH CSE course. The faculty to student ratio is quite fine most of the time. It's about 1:56 on average. Most of the faculty is well qualified to teach the students, however, there exist some exceptions. Term exams are always upto time. It takes a bit of effort but an average student can definitely pass with an average score.

Internships Opportunities

A number of companies are there for internships. I have not been to campus physically so not aware of them much. Projects are made in the final year and they contribute a lot to the resume and interviews.

Placement Experience

As soon 4th semester starts, B.Tech students are eligible for placements and placements to start. 4th is more of placements rather than study. The highest package is 42 LPA, and for most, it is 7-8+ LPA. I plan to get a job after the degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

In recent, the fee might have been raised but it is fixed once you take admission, any fee hike thereafter does not apply to you. The cost to study nowadays is basically your course fee only (as it's online). You get a scholarship of 10% - 40% based on marks you obtain in LPUNEST(exam they conduct), or your JEE mains marks or 12th score.

Campus Life

Events go on a daily basis in this online world. Campus is closed due to the pandemic so everything happens in online mode. They have an online library, rarely people would visit it. But yes it is a pool of some books.. some course books basically. There are a number of clubs in LPU, of every type. One will definitely find the right club.

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
