Remarks

First of I chose this college because of my low cut-off, I got this through Anna University Counseling. And my relatives already studied here, they have given some positive review. First of all, they would call for admission after the Final allotment of seats in this college. They would ask you to pay the fee. The bus fee is optional, you can pay within 10 to 15days of admission, or after reopening also you can pay it. For Hostel you have to pay during the admission or within a week because the rooms will be filled.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose ECE because of my Uncle's wish, I hate Engineering to the core, I don't have any interest in this field. It's purely against my wish. There were 45 students per class depends on the particular subject and faculty. Some have 60 also max 60 students not more than that. Mostly 45 students per staff. Good teaching but there are some poor professors too who just run PPT or just for namesake they would take a class. But there are some good teachers who would be true to their profession. There are 2 internal assessments followed by a Model exam per semester. Exams would be normal only not soo difficult and not too easy. Most faculties are Ph.D. and many are pursuing Ph.D

Placement Experience

4

Normally students get placed in the 7th semester. very few get placed in the 6th semester. Placement record is very good. There are many good companies recruiting in this college. The salary package is also very good. The Low package is 3.5lpa and average package is 5lpa to 6lpa, and the top package is 16lpa. The top package is only for 2 to 3 students in the core industries. Placement record is well more than 990 got placed out of 1100

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is certainly high here, not only here it is in all private institutions. The fee is 90000 per year. Govt proposed fee is 55000 per year but they are collecting an extra 35000 for placement every year and they won't give any bill for that 35000. The transport fee is also too high. Where ever you board the bus the fee is 40000 per year. Money-minded, worst in terms of fee. The hostel fee is also high. It starts from 70000 and goes upto 1lakh depending upon the no of persons in a room and AC facilities, it includes mess also. Food is good in a mess with 3days of Nonveg in a week. There are unwanted fines in the college, which is the worst thing in every private institution. At any cost money won't be refunded, even if it's to be refunded.

Campus Life

1

The library is good, it has many books which is more sufficient for a student. It has free IEEE Membership for students using the college Wifi. Sports has no care in this college. Worst in terms of sports. No scholarship, no encouragement will be given and not even allowed for Sports. No P.E.T period except for 1st years. There is an annual fest which is of no use, there will be a Pongal celebration, which is better than that. No amenities are there, no social clubs. Even there is no NCC, etc. Worst in terms of extracurricular activities.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

Placement Experience:

Chennai Institute of Technology is an instituition that truly prioritizes student career growth . The placement cell is exceptionallu well-organized ,consistently connecting students with reputed companies across various industries. What makes CIT stood out is the quality of its training staff. They focus heavily on communication , technical knowledge and competitive preparation ,align students with what top companies expect ,and contiuosly push us to improve and meet industry standards. Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence. The department faculty are equally commnedable ,knowledgable ,approachable and genuinely invested in student career. Overall CIT is an excellent choice for anyone focused on building a strong and sucessful career
