Remarks

The opportunities that are being provided at LPU are really fascinating (with placements). They work so hard to encourage the students and give them the best platform. The only drawback is the amount of projects and assignments that the faculties gives put a burden on students. Most of the time is spent completing these assignments. There are certain aspects in which the college is strict(that's sometimes good but sometimes not). But definitely otherwise its a great platform where you can build a good future.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose B.tech CSE as it is one of the most demanded course in terms of good placements. The university tries its level best to provide all kind of aid to the students so that they can conveniently study and get their doubts cleared. The management is great. You'll hardly find difficulty regarding anything as the university tries to take care of everything for you. Most of the teachers are really nice and helpful and teaches finely but the teaching pattern of a few is not good but you can always complain in such case. Exams are always on time.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Students do internships from the first year itself. You get higher opportunities of doing internships from the second year which are provided by the University. But there are companies in which the students do their internships which are not provided by the University but students get to know about them from other sources.

Placement Experience

3.5

Since I am in first year so I can't tell anything by experience but I can list the things that I've read and heard. A lot of companies visit the campus and major placements are from the B.tech branch of CSE where 80% of students get placed and if you want a good package so make sure you've done the efforts to earn it from your side. If you've made so good efforts and made your time count in the university, there are higher chances of you bagging a good package.

Fees and Financial Aid

The scholarship scheme of this college is one of the best. It is very easy to get scholarship here. The fees without scholarship is quite high but since there are major chances of getting scholarship so fees is not a big issue here.

Campus Life

3.5

There are plenty( unlimited) of extra curricular activities and clubs/organizations here at LPU that you'll get confused which one to choose. There is also a library where you can issue books so you don't need to waste your money purchasing books. In online classes also, you can have access to the library books. Due to Covid I haven't been to the university yet.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel charges are quite high but haven't been to been to the hostel yet but you can go for PG's if hostel charges are expensive for you. All I've heard is that the hostel life is really fun as the seniors have said.

Interview Experience

4

I applied in B.tech CSE so I was given 3 ways to apply-through JEE main,12th merit, 10th merit(because of Covid)and lpunest( but you need at least 60% in 12th to sit for lpunest). LPUNEST is not so tough, you just need to have a good knowledge of 12th(and 11th also, I don't remember- just check the syllabus). If you have a descent preparation then you can easily get scholarship through LPUNEST (passing the cutoff is not an issue). There is no interview.

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
