Remarks

This is the best college in Northern India for btech and MBA. I selected this university for my studies because if it's placement and it's low fees. After my studies started then I came to know that the facilities are also top class . I haven't got any chance to go to the university physically so I can't say anything else about the infrastructure and mess other than what I read online. I got admission in the university after qualifying LPUNEST exam. I got 35% scholarship on the basis of 10th result. I got information about the university from online sites. When I registered then I got calls from the university officials and they guided me further that how much fees will be there as well as they told me about the whole process of admission. Overall all the officials are helping and they give you time to pay the fees also , it is not like they will ask you to pay whole amount at a time at the time of admission. I got information about the university on College duniya .

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

All the faculties are helping and we'll qualified. They force you to interact and develop your personality also. I liked this course very much and got happy enough with the faculties. All the exams are taken at time.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Placement Experience

3.5

Around 94% students got placed and rest got internship in 2019. The placement process starts from the sixth semester and almost all get placed upto eighth semester. If anyone don't want to get job then they are also able to qualify GATE exam or other exams for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

In my course there is fees of Rs108000 per semester. Anyone can get scholarship on the basis of 10th-12th marks or LPUNEST exam. LPUNEST is must to get qualified for the admission . Part-time job is also provided to the students who want to do.

Campus Life

I haven't got any chance to go to the campus physical but as much I came to know about the campus I can say that you are giving your money at right place. There are seperate hostels for boys and girls and mess is also very nice. You can also get scholarship on the basis of your sports or cultural test(through lpu tab that will be done at the time of admission only). In online mode only I came across 10 cultural programs in cse department in which around 8 were coordinated by me too.

Interview Experience

4.5

I qualified only LPUNEST for the admission. Non other processes occur. LPUNEST is an easy exam that anyone preparing for mains can qualify and get good scholarship too. You can also get admission in the basis of jee mains score, if you will get above 90 scores then you can get direct admission otherwise you have to qualify LPUNEST.

The campus is beautiful, spacious, and offers good infrastructure with modern facilities.
The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

The fees are high and losing a scholarship due to cgpa requirements can create a significant financial burden.
More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

Likes

college life of Chandigarh university is so good, all the events do happen .
teachers are so experienced and they are so supportive in here.
the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

Dislikes

All the online courses should be reduced.
nothing is there in the university that is to dislike.
majority of the things are all good in our university.

Placement Experience:

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

campus life is absolutely banger and it is great to have friends here
crowd is bonkers , except some local peeps , they'd be behaving weird
major events like freshers and orientation , they bring crazzy artists

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

Placement Experience:

placements of 2.8 cr occured but it was only one , most of the placements packages go under 8 lpa and extra fees has to be paid in order to be eligible for placement drives and that too doen't ensure the placement

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
