Remarks

Since it isn't the best scenario to fully judge the college since we are all still studying through online classes but my experience till now has been mostly pleasant. The faculty has been trying their best to conduct classes smoothly though there has been some technical difficulties. Students are very supportive and friendly and the seniors too have helped us by guiding us during this difficult time. Admission Process is pretty simple like all the other private universities. One good thing about LPU is the scholarships that they provide for the students to rise up and have a fair chance for all the students irrespective of their financial background. The reason I choose this college is because of the exposure and opportunities it provides us to do well in our subjects and equally give importance to our passions. With great cultural diversity comes great experiences which helps us feel more social as an individual.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Computer science is a very interesting subject. The main reason I chose this subject is because of the rising demand and great job opportunities especially abroad. After I started learning more about it I developed a keen interest to the subject. One of the problems that I find in my college is the boys to girls ratio which is 10/1 . The faulty is pretty qualified most of them having a postgraduate or doctoral degrees. Though most of the teachers have a good relationship with their students and understand and resolve their problems , some sure have trouble connecting well with them . The teaching techniques too differ from one teacher to another but is comfortable for the students to understand. The examination system is very disciplined even though it has its own technical faults and glitches. The paper pattern differs from Easy to moderate depending on how prepared the student is. Its definitely not that easy to pass but if you prepare well then it is.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Well since i am still in my first year I do not have a pretty clear idea about how the internships work nor have i got an internship . Though a lot of students from LPU have got great stipends and amazing internship opportunities to work with great companies.

Placement Experience

4.5

LPU being a fairly new university has made their name in such a short time and the main reason being their good placement drives. Big companies like Amazon, Cognizant , Capgemini, TCS, Flipkart etc. have visited and selected from the university. The highest package offered have gone above 30 LPA . More than 40 companies have offered dream packages or so said. A great number of students opt for higher studies and get great jobs in companies like google , apple etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is pretty affordable for a middle class family . But of course talking about the real situation of our country its a bit costly. Though truth be told it is much less than many other private universities but still can be a bit steep for some people. And looking at the financial crisis our country is facing during this time it would be more helpful if the fees were reduced. But there are good scholarships and stipends you can avail which will lessen your financial burden.

Campus Life

4

Well since I haven't personally been to college so I don't have much input . But my seniors had a given me an insight of things work around there. Clean and spacious rooms and also a lot choices for you to choose from . A healthy and tasty Mess. All the other amenities are also well maintained . Availability of both technical and non technical books and big libraries . The student organizations run different groups and clubs which conduct great programs and events.

Hostel Facilities

4

Since I haven't started living there I can't exactly comment on how good the hostels are. It seems healthy and spacious. It provides laundry services and great hospitality. There are standard rooms, apartments and dormitories . Each standard room has a bed, an almirah, a desk per person and a common washroom. The meal plan is very healthy with a great variety of food like North Indian, South Indian, continental etc.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
