A True and Unbiased Review of Lovely Professional University

The Infrastructure of LPU and facilities are not that bad in LPU. Here, some of the faculty staff members are good but you can also find unfriendly and helping staff. The same case lies with the mentors who are appointed to us -some try to assist us the best while some do not even care to perform their job. The admission criteria in LPU is on the basis of the following factors: 1)LPUNEST-Its a type of entrance exam that takes place multiple times a year. The first-round applications for this exam begin before January and this exam firstly takes place in the month of January. 2)On the basis of the Student's 10th and 12th results. I chose this college as this college provides enough opportunities for me from polishing my skills to providing placements. And its fees were also comparatively lower than other colleges. The education herein LPU is also standard class. That's why I opted for this institution. While choosing this college collegedunia was very helpful to me.

Computer Science and physics were my strong subjects therefore the best stream according to my needs was Btech-CSE. As I already mentioned about the faculty, many students take admission in with increasing number each year, increasing the competition for grabbing various opportunities which lpu provides. Even then this college tries to provide quality education to the students. The teachers are well qualified and their teaching methods are excellent. In this course, students are also provided with minors, starting from 5 th semester which in turn allows students to explore and opt for the skills which they like. Due to covid-19, we are taught in online mode. Although the interface is not as good as expected yes team codetantra is working to improve it day and night. The exams were very well organized and conducted. The questions were also designed keeping in mind the difficulties faced by the students in online mode.

The college provides various opportunities from the 5th semester, bringing various companies such as Amazon, Capgemini, Tata Consultancy Services, Microsoft, etc. The average stipend offered by these companies is 1 lac per annum. Although these internships do not have that much stipend, they play a vital role in upgrading and developing new skills of students provide them experience through various projects. The highest internship offered here on- the campus is 80k per month or 9,60,000 per annum. This university provides maximum opportunities to students, grabbing them and making maximum use of them completely depends on the students.

The placements offered here are average. Even then the university is continuously working on bringing more companies to this university. A maximum of 560 companies visit this campus each year but unfortunately, the "Dream Companies" which provide a package of greater than 8 lacs per annum are very few. The highest package offered was 42 lacs per annum but that was off-campus. On-campus it has been a maximum of 28 lacs per annum. Most of the companies coming here are mass recruiters(offering packages between 3-4 lacs), which hire a large number of students from LPU. Cognizant, Tech Mahindra,bosch, etc. are some of the mass recruiter companies at LPU.

The best thing about the fees hike policy of LPU is that the fees is only increased for the fresh batches and are kept constant for all 8 semesters of a particular engineering batch. The fees for decided for our batch was 98000. The scholarships in LPU in Btech CSE are : 1)25% fee waiver on the basic amount 2)35% fee waiver on the basic amount 3)45% fee waiver on the basic amount On the basis of my scores, I got a scholarship of 25%. Apart from basic fees, a fee of 5000 is charged at the end of every semester as examination fees . The college provides scholarships even on the basis of jee mains, research and sports, 10th and 12th scores, and also from entrance exam score . Keeping these things in mind the fees is affordable and getting a scholarship here is not that difficult . There are many part-time jobs available in LPU for students such as in admission cell, library management, etc.

A large number of events and fests take place in LPU each year . The Grand ones being Section Of The Year, Virasat-E-Udaan, Spectra, One India and One world. Apart from these various events are held here by different schools and clubs which take place more than 3 times a week. LPU also hosts and conducts some national and international events. There are almost11 branches of its library with more than 18 lakh books in them also including newspapers, magazines, and various journals. The sports facilities provided by LPU are really good ranging from cricket, football, badminton, lawn tennis, etc. to indoor games like chess, carrom, table tennis and many more. The campus life here is amazing. There is a whole city developed inside LPU, having its own mall, cafes, and cinema halls. There are 500+ clubs in LPU and any student can start a club satisfying the criteria for it as decided by the university.
