Mohammad Khaja Sadiq's Review On Lovely Professional University - [LPU], Jalandhar

Pros: Infrastructure(One of the Best), Faculty(Sportive and very Helpful), No Ragging(You would never know, a person is Senior or junior), Clubs(To enhance and showcase your skills), CC Food courts, Security(One of the most secure campus with a guard at every landmark), Ground(Two large grounds and a separate ground for football and Hockey)and Placements(The university provides you but It all depends on you how you grab it,).Cons: Not much but Hostel food (A common problem) Have an Average expectation and No Non-Veg inside the campus. There will be only one Restaurant, that too at the sheer end of the boys hostels with not too good but Ok tasting dishes. The reason is simple LPU is a package of Oppurtunities and Experiences which could make you grow better than other. But again it all depends on you How much you extract.

The course cirriculum is set keeping in mind the presem=nt situation in the Real world. The Faculty are good. They are sportive and also make you understand the concept. There are 3 types of classes Lecture, Tutorial and practical. In the Lecture, You will be made to understand the concept, In the tutorial, You will be made to solve problems and brief examples are explained. In the practicals, You perform on the instruments, chemicals etc. If you are a Tech student, There are BYOD classes which mean Bring Your Own Device where you perform while you learn on your laptop. YOu need to carry a Laptop to the university, If your a Tech Student for sure. The Passing Criteria is divided into 4 parts: Attendence(5%), Assignments(25%), Mid term(20%) and End term(50%). The exams are not tough to crack if you know the concept good. The Citeria for placement is 7 CGPA.

The Placements in Campus start from the 6 semester end in LPU. You get more oppurtunities to get in a good Internship which would procure in a job or make a placement in the start itself. Most of the students sit for placement but there also a good number of people planning for Higher Studies or Start an MBA degree and also some with Startup plans to make their own way. The Average package depends on Company and their selection criteria,

The Campus Life will be Awesome at LPU. At Anytime, There will be workshops or events or EDM nights and Some Interesting competitions held at LPU. There are 3 main events of LPU: ONE WORLD, ONE INDIA and YOUTH VIBE. There more than 50 student run organisations in LPU supporting you to improve your skills and oppurtunities. You can find all the Clubs of LPU on the University official Website. There are cultural classes for Singing, Dancing, instrumentation where you can enhance yourselves. When coming to Library, You find all the famous Journals and books by famous Authors to all your Educational Books(You cn read at the moment or lend it for a week or 2.).

The University gives you scholarship of upto 50% on your merit basis. You can also avail the Education loan given the banks and there is SBI branch in the university which takes care of all documentation. So, You can avail it.

The Infrastructure is really good. We have a nearly 55 blocks in LPU. There are 3 libraries: The central Library is the big on which you would find in the hub of 38, 37,36 blocks. While moving onto Sports, There is a separate Football ground, Hockey Ground and A ground outside the Campus and common ground with a cricket pitch in it. There are nearly 5 basketball Courts, A Boxing RIng, and 2 volley ball Courts and a Kho-Kho court. It also has an Indoor Stadium with Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball courts and a Huge swimming pool in it. The campus also has nearly 1 Campus Gym and 2 Private Gyms inside it. It also consists of a Mall with all the necessary needs of students from electronics to Saloons everything. The campus provides 3 Wi-fi networks 1. Inside the LPU campus 2. In the hostels(with an average speed of 300kbps) and 3 Jio net with 1gb per day.

The Infrastructure of Hostel is good. The food in the mess is Okay, I mean you get nutritious food but may not be too tasty. The hostel facility is divided on the basis of number of person in a room From 2 seater to 5 seater with an seperate washroom attached. It also has the facility of dormitory with 6 to 12 persons per room having a separate Bed but a common washroom for a Floor, which are sufficient enough. The registration process is done with the Course registration itself. There also Apartment facility for students who want to cook for themselves and eat with 1 to 3 persons per room.
