I chose this college because the faculty is said to be really good, the college is near my residence so it is convenient for me and the crowd of the college is also very well behaved and come from respected families. The college is not very strict about attendance which allows me to attend classes for my other course that I'm pursuing. Another major point for choosing this college was because of its anti ragging policy, whereas other colleges in my city suffer from such bad behavior.
I chose Bcom because it will help me for my CA foundation. There are adequate number of professors in the college, we have a different teacher everyday for each subject in a week. Every teacher is highly qualified, most of them belong to CA or CS background, and they are very good at teaching even online! Our college conducted our term exams timely and it was easy for us because we were taught everything really well and were given enough time for revision.
I am in semester 2 currently so I don't know much about the placement opportunities offered by the college. According to my knowledge, students become eligible for campus placement in 3rd year. I'm currently pursuing CA along with Bcom.
According to my knowledge, fees aren't going to be raised anytime soon. Course fees is around 24000rs for each semester. My college has scholarship programmes for students who scored above 90%, I'm not sure, and they provide scholarships for about 75%. There is also a campus placement programme where high performing will be given a chance of getting a job after completion of their course.
We are an unlucky batch, we joined the college during a pandemic and very few of us have got a chance to visit our college. I visited the college once when I went to the library, it was a really good experience. The infrastructure is very modern and the interiors are very designer. Can easily say that it is the best college in the city, infrastructure-wise.
Admission was taken purely on a merit basis so there were no admission tests. The criteria for admission was to have an aggregate score of 60%+ and pass in all subjects, and 75%+ in the best 4 subjects. That's all.

I chose b.com Hons because i m doing a professional course CMA with it. The course will be a match and that should be helpful. 36:100 is the teacher: student ratio all faculties are highly qualified. Exams are semester wise and in 1 year there are 2 semesters overall 6 semester exams are easy to pass if you studies well.
Students of both bachelors and masters degree are eligible for placements. Many companies come to the university to absorb the students. I have not planned to take placement as my wish is to join an MBA course after BCom Hons. Almost 90% of students get placement from the university.
Reputed companies like IBM, TCS, KPMG, ITC, etc used to come to our college from campus placement. They mostly used to come in our third year and the package was quite good about 4-5 lakhs p.a. and it could also go up to 7 lakhs P.A. I'm planning to continue my education further and do a master's.
The whole graduation course at shri shikshayatan college, Kolkata is covered under six Semester exams, two conducted for each year. The exams are of the nominal standard, neither too hard or easy. A student can easily clear exams with good percentage with a little bit hardwork. Shri shikshayatan college, has excellent faculty members, and they are always accessible by their students for help. They are generous, very well qualified and really good mentors for guiding us. The course curriculum is also very relevant, especially for the charted accountancy pursuing students as the syllabus pattern is almost same designed. It also has a rating from UGC NAAC. The student faculty ratio is quite good out here. Its faculty is 21+ and students are 1000+ in BCom Hons. The semester exams are conducted in parallence with the Calcutta university examinations, so no worries in that matter too.
Although there are many courses Bhawanipur Educational society college has to provide as I am currently doing my BCOM in accounting and finance honors so I will talk about this particular course only so if you are willing to continue your further studies by taking honors in accounting and finance it will cost you around 150k and if you wish to do General BCOM course it's is just 3000 rupees less. I chose to do BCOM Accounting the Finance honors because I want to go for Chartered Accountant study in the future and this course with honors has found to be very useful.
I have chosen to pursue BCOM accounting and finance honors in the Bhawanipur Educational society college because my neighbor uncle is a faculty there who is very good and helpful and teaches company law in the afternoon shift of the College and have experience of more than 15 years of teaching in the College and also I came to know that the College is very much good for higher studies in commerce and also one of the oldest and well known famous College for commerce in Kolkata so I decided to take admission there.
Actually I'm a commerce student and UCC is one of the best college for Commerce stream in Kolkata. It's brovides better study for B. Com. (Honours). As this is a government college, the admission process is simple. You can apply for this college after your 12th. The college never demans for donations during admission. If you got good marks in 12th, you will be selected. I applied for this college on its own site.
I would like to inform you that this is a reputed government college having high qualified and skilled proffesors. There is no any test or interview for admission in this college. It's all about your 12th marks which decides the chance of your admission in this college.
Management is not at all great there are lot many loop holes which they need to change modern management systems must be introduced to handle the situation there as manier times students are harassed for different things by faculties or office staff.
