Remarks

I chosed it because i got scholarship of 40% in the lpu nest exam. And the infrastructure and facilities are top notch, my cousin friends also studied hear and the got good placement as well so i chosed it and the exposure which you got hear is next level.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course which i chosed is in great demand for gov and private job. and after further studies for masters you can go for research as well. And the no. of faculties were good about 1:10 ration faculties : students.

Yes i opted for it and i did internship in Krishi vigyan Kenda in Jalandhar. And i have to collect the data to people visited and problems with them and how many problem i solved for them and what types if problem where in general.

Placement Experience

I didn't opted for placement, but some of my close friends got placed at some firms. They got about 300000 per year and i seen that lots if company related to Agriculture visited hear and many eligible students got change to sit in placement. There is separate classes special for placement also.And there is a dedicated placement cell in the campus.

College Events

The campus life is full of happiness and joy.There so many annual Fest like Youth vive, One India, One world,Flower exhibition, Spectra, Sports events etc. These events are conducted through the year. Like Youth vibe in September Flower exhibition in Winter January to February. There are 4 library in campus.The central library is the biggest which is in 4 floors. And you will get every book related or not related to you course. There are more than 20 types of outdoor games available to play like Cricket Hockey Football rugby volleyball Basketball Indoor games Like Games related to Swimming Badminton Tennis etc. There are 2 swimming pools, one of them is Olympic level. There are more than 15 social group like NSS Agricios Being vivbe etc

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee which you paid at the time of admission will be same in all 8 semester.You can opt for education loan.and you can also do part-time job in campus like photography, Typing assistant at Division of students affairs and many such jobs.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel are quite big and spacious you get single, double,three,four,five sheater hostel rooms. And there are dormitory also. Mess food are good. Every day new vegetables and new chart for food. Mess food charge is 31000 yearly. There are lots of pg and flats out side the campus. There are apartment also inside the campus for students and teaching staffs.

Hostel Fee: INR 55000 per year

A perfect college to take admission for a good future

Likes

Interactions with lecturers from internation universities like- harvard and university of scotland
The mentors and faculties were supportive
They used to conduct placement assistance aswell.

Placement Experience:

We were offered placement assistance as it was an online program and i really think it is a good initiative because college are least bothered for placements for their online programs. As i had to pursue a career in marketing i started doing projects and internships in marketing and sales domain.

Education Quality was good along with Teachinng
Infrastructure is decent according to punjab location
Management is helpful and good, you can reach them for help

Dislikes

Attendence i perdonally didn't like, but it is mandatory
little bit parking issue inside the campus
overall college is good, you can go for it but not for placements

Placement Experience:

Rest everything is good with college, only i have issue with placement, since there are very poor or only core sales job in punjab, college is able to provide that only. You have to work your ass off if you want to get good placement, provided their education quality is good

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Dislikes

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

A brief review of AIIMS , Bathinda by a student studying there

Likes

Teachers have a lot of knowledge and are very supportive.
Busy opd , hence enough number of patients for practical studies.
Reaserch is very much promoted and supported.

Dislikes

There is no proper sports complex yet .
There is no gym in campus , for gym we have to go out of the campus.
There is no college fest of our college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since we all know MBBS is course for being a doctor . As being doctor was a dream of mine i chosed this course.MBBS course is quite hectic but this is required since after completion of course we will become doctors and patients like will be in our hands. Frequency and timing of exams is already discussed in previous question.

The best thing is that it is very affordable and enhance your knowledge at various aspects.
The second thing is there are extra hostel charges.
And conducts various conferences and workshops for enhancing students knowledge

Dislikes

The location of the college is not that much good.
You have to travel half an hour to reach market.
The hostel rules disallow you for high voltage electricals

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

An In-Depth Look at Campus Life and opportunities at Chandigarh University

I think, the campus is being liked by everyone whether its staff member or a student, because the university consists of many blocks or departments and that too are named as A1, A2, A3, A4 & B1, B2, B3, B4, B5 & C1, C2, C3 & D1,D2,D3,D4,D5,D6,D7,D8
Parks and all are made for the relaxation purpose of the student
Car Parkings are available separately for the students and staff and that also inside the campus which is ambitious.

Dislikes

The semester fees and other expenses is relatively higher as compared to other institutions
Some students find the university’s rule such as strict attendance policies and accurate timings for the classes, quite stringent
Mostly 2 common times, one is in morning nearby 8.50 AM to 9.50 AM and in evening nearby 3.50 PM to 5.00 PM, the rush is like horses and buffaloes! There is so much over crowded & most of the crowd occurs by the Autos, but no one do anything for that

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i have opted the course B.Pharmacy! I rate the course as optimal, neither too bad nor too good, its medium! Now comes on teaching method, some teachers are really well and good and few are those who does not teaches but only writing writing, thats it, they will not explain at all! And one thing they should change is that All Courses except B.Pharmacy in Chandigarh University have the criteria to pass the student even below the 40% only or the half of the highest number scored by the topper in the class, and for Bpharmacy its minimum requirement to pass the exam is 50%, Oh My God! This needs to be changed, Now every year, in Bpharmacy, the overall 80% students are getting Compartments (Back/Fail) in the subjects, but the University is not understanding it all. So this should be changed as earlier!

Faculty : The faculty of Gian sagar as per experienced in 1st year of Mbbs is very caring and very talented. They take as many tests they can and make the student learn.
Learning facility : The teachers make digital slides.
Personal skill development : Every student is personally approached.

Dislikes

Too much syllabus : The mbbs course has a lot of syllabus to cover

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MBBS course is a very vast course . Syllabus is too much to handle . The curriculum prepares us for the practical approach like Anatomy , we have Dhall for cadaver dissection and osteology . We can see real life radiography.
