Entrance Preview

I wrote Tamilnadu state entrance examination & when I applied for both medicine & paramedical course, I got counselling letter for paramedical courses. I choosed Pharmacy over other paramedical as per my family advice.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The Course curriculum was neatly focused with all basics in chemistry & anatomy & physiology in first year followed by subjects on drug preparation, storage, drug properties in second year. In third year, we studied more on drug pharmacology, natural products, chemical synthesis of drugs. Final year we studied all advanced subjects in pharmacy like Pharmaceutical biotechnology, pharmaceutics etc.

Internships Opportunities

Since I got through government quota to this college, I didn't get any internship during my course interval.

Placement Experience

4

I was offered a job opportunity in a leading medical coding company before I completed my course. Since I didn't complete my course, I took my career in medical writing after I completed my course. Now its almost 14 years in the same field in various positions.

College Events

4

We used to have pharmacy week every October where we will have many scientific seminars from outside people along with many cultural activities among ourselves. We used to have common yummy lunch for whole college at the end of this week celebration which is unforgettable.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since I got through government quota to this college, I didn't avail any scholarship or loan facility.

Campus Life

3.5

Gender ratio was equal in our department & I did saw the equality for both genders in all aspects of studies & transportation too. We do have extracurricular activities & sports event celebrated once in a year. We also had opportunities to visit other departments functions.

Exam Structure

We used to have Sessional exams thrice in the year before we attend yearly university exams. Exposure to lab is also sufficient for understanding the concept of experiments we do in the lab. Animal experiments we did were also very interesting & well-explained by our faculties.

Faculty

4

Faculties in our department were highly qualified & experienced & took extreme care to make us understand our subjects through various presentations & seminars. During lab sessions, we were very clear about various drug formulations, its preparations & analysis.
