Remarks

The main reason for me to attend the LPU is that I have to study in other states apart from central India and LPU fits all my requirement. They have the capability to provide me the national an international level exposure and apart form that I really want to attend the big university and they are one of the biggest in India to make me ready for the fight in the real world job market . Coming up to admission you just have to take LPU nest entrance test and choose the date and time according to you and after that they will guide you . At my time they had four phases and frankly speaking you don't have to worry much about it just fill the lpunest test application that comes at the end of December and last till the admission season according to India i.e. till the end of July . The very good thing I like about LPU is that they have a very open culture and everything is in campus and the bad thing is that. They are very strict about their attendance policy and hostel timing for girls.

Course Curriculum Overview

I was very clear about my courses I have to do engineering computer science that is why I have chosen b tech cse program. And the classes are good both as infrastructure and teacher wise . If you have any doubt they will try to resolve it in class or if you are not-satisfied you can go in person go to another teacher in department or go to HOD the average size of theory class is 65-70 and for practical that is reduced to 30-35. Most of the teacher are Ph.D. holder so don't worry about their qualification , and if you have done some study you are likely to pass the exam without any worries. Sometimes the teacher have some kind of authoritarian behavior you can just say them or go to HOD or log a complain and issue will be resolved .

Internships Opportunities

I am in second year and I haven't done any internship right now so I am not the right person to comment on that but according to senior the opportunity are in good number and we can avail both on campus and off campus internship .

Placement Experience

Campus are good you can join the companies after 6th semester and the no. of companies that comes to our campus are in good no the highest package I have heard is 42 lakh but for common people like us the no of opportunity is good ,If you have some knowledge they will provide you adequate training and make you placement ready .

Fees and Financial Aid

When seen according to Indian standard I would say the fees is high and if you have some knowledge you are most likely to get any kind of scholarship . They have scholarship up 40% but when compared to other private colleges I would say the fees is very competitive what I pay is 81000 per semester after 10% scholarship but you have to check for current fees structure .

Campus Life

The campus life is good , the campus of LPU is like a mini city you will find every thing here the library is good , no. of available books are pretty decent and the after class life is very excellent you will find almost any type of club here like book , music dance etc sports ground and teams are very good .

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

LPU's REVIEW WITH HONESTY AND CREDIBILITY

Likes

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

Inside NITJ- Beyond the Brochure

Likes

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

Placement Experience:

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
