Remarks

The best thing about my college is that the infrastructure is great and there are awesome facilities available round the clock 24/7 . The mess food and the canteen food are a delight to have. There are many great spots in the college where one can sit and enjoy the scenic view . Also it is a lush green campus. Bad aspects I didn't got any but the fountain in our campus has all dried up. The admission are mostly through jee mains and one have to apply through JAC DELHI counseling in order to gain admission. The admissions are on the basis of the rank secured in jee mains only. Last year due to covid 19 the counseling process ran from Sept till December 2020. I liked this college because it has a large campus size, great hostels, amazing college life, and wonderful vibes are there in college. Mostly I saw reviews on collegeduniya and visited YouTube videos

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course because I liked this course and had an interest in it and moreover I got this course as it suited my jee rank also. The faculty to student ratio is around 1:70 as I have seen in my class. The faculties ate mostly PhD holders and a number of mtech graduates work under them as associate professors . They teach good and try to clear as much doubts as they can but some teachers just do time pass and don't teach at all. They just come to the class just read out their own notes and that's it I mean no explanation nothing. Overall teaching is quite good. The term exams happen at their times and if one had studied consistently then there would not be any problem for them but they studied last night them they would score somewhat fewer marks

Internships Opportunities

5

There are a lot of internship opportunities available in the college. The companies which come for placements also offer an internship to the students so that they can give PPO ( pre-placement offer) to the deserving students so that they don't have to sit for placements. The main role offered are those related to mechanical departments and the internship stipend is around 30 to 60 k.

Placement Experience

5

The students in the third year that is from 6th semester the students are eligible for campus placements. The campus placements are quite good with overall types of companies like software companies, core companies, data analysis companies, consulting companies they all visit the campus. The companies visiting in automotive engineering are Hyundai, bajaj, GAIL , IOCL,Hilti ,Toshiba, Hero , Samsung were some of the top recruiting companies with around 100+ offers made to the students .The highest package offered was 20 lpa and the average package was around 9 to 10 lpa in my course. The placement percentage was also good with around 70 to 80 percent of the students getting placed in these top mnc 's . I plan to prepare for UPSC after getting a decent package

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee hike is nearly 5 to 6 % per annum and it just gets costlier as the year passes. The cost to study I around 12 to 13 lakhs in total four years if one includes all mess charges, hostel charges, and all other academic charges also. Many scholarships are provided by the government only for SC ST and OBC students. Many students whose family income is less also get scholarships and financial assistance either by the college or through the government. Since I am in my first year I have no internship but my seniors have bagged amazing interns as on-campus internships in various companies. They receive 2lakh per month to 30 k per month as their stipend according to the companies in which they are placed.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life is the most enjoyable and memorable experience in DTU. The greenery which attracts me with my friends, the awesome vibes of the hostel rooms are very attractive. In fact, there are many places like Maggi baba, Micmac ( these are local names but very famous in our college) which are interesting places and a great pass time. The library is fully air-conditioned and a lot of books are present there along with national and indirect journals, magazines, and research papers. In the classroom, there are markers boards on which black/blue markers are used for writing. The classroom has huge halls along with fans. There are a lot of facilities for sports. There are huge grounds for cricket, football, etc and indoor courts are also available for badminton, table tennis, etc. Every year Arena the inter-branch sports complex is organized in our college. The students also run an NSS group for helping underprivileged students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
