Galgotias University Greater Noida, B.Tech, Mechanical Engineering

Remarks

This is the best private college in greater Noida in term of placements, academics, discipline and placements. This is a private college so anybody can get admission without any selection process, only one must have at least 40% in class 12th board exams for admission, no GD or personal interview was taken only submit the documents after they are verified you will get the offer letter.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose mechanical engineering as it is my passion moreover it is NBA accredited by UGC, faculties are very knowledgeable and talented, supportive and guide us in any filed of our life. Exams are taken online through LMS moodle they are proctored exams taken, college is very strict about attendance and discipline and they focus here only on your academics and nothing they will else see that is the reason they make tough paper and exams are held frequently in a short period of time.

Class Size: 43Course Fees: INR 159000 per year

Placement Experience

90% placements with an average salary of 4LPA and the highest 25LPA from Infosys, many IT companies visit and hire in bulk like Wipro, TCS, Mahindra, and many more. Students sit in on-campus placements from the starting of their 4th year. I will prepare for GRE exam after my graduation.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is valuable here and it does not increase also every year, there is no fee hike policy here, scholarships are given to only freshers and students who take new admissions only apart from that they provide the facility of UP scholarship of UP government. Loan assistance is easily available here no need to go to the bank.

Campus Life

The campus has many gardens, a lounge, a big cafeteria, a water fountain, 3 sports grounds with all facilities and hygiene available. Books are all latest editions and plenty enough in a library, the library is small and doesn't have AC but classrooms are very big and have wifi access, fully air-conditioned, with projectors and sofa chair and tables. There are many social clubs like Frag, Cam circle, Techno jam and many more.

Overall Feedback for College - Admission , Placement , Course , Faculty , Events

Likes

the security is nice at my college like proper cctv and guards , apart from that labs , and my dept is too good. Ac classroom and labs
They have provided average placement like most of companies are mass hiring like tcs and accenture ..and only few companies come to offer big package
Infrastructure is good but there is need of reconstruction at some places the water is ticking in rain season continuously, and curriculum is okay okay not that much relevant to industry , they taught text books rather than the real practical cases

Dislikes

The examination checking - the student who is cr or having any relation with teachers got highest marks without writing the answer properly
The food canteen first of all the canteen is off from the past 1 or 2 year and now it reopen but it sells dirty food , waste foods
The college professor support , they are not that much supportive

Course Curriculum Overview:

coding I am interested in coding that why I offer this course It provide some courses but not all courses are related to real world they have to use practical examples and make students aware of the real industry According to me the time and frequency is okay of exam

I wanted to go to VIPS, Pitampura. I did get admission there but they did not update the 4 year course policy which was newly released by the govt on their website and ipu website. Due to this my budget messed up and I had to back up. I specially prepared for this exam but in the end I ended up going to a private university where I feel like I wasted my time and money. This university is not how it may look like. It may be good in terms of fees but the faculty and courses that get taught are like as if pursuing two degrees with no meaning. The admission process was simple and east. Fill an application form and go to GCET and get everything done there that's all. No complicated thing....Read More
